Request a first review

This is not ready for publication and since this is my first attempt at writing a Wikipedia entry, would appreciate if an editor can look this over and let me know if I am on right track, especially with citations and links. Thanks! HarvResearch (talk) 23:27, 26 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Simply click the "submit for review" button. Theroadislong (talk) 07:23, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I did a submit for review. However, I later made additional edits. Do I need to "submit for review" again or just do a "Save" for the reviewers to access and review the most recent version? Also I see in it says Draft talk:Jim Simon. I wrote the entry as Jim Simon (writer). I just want to make sure the (writer) part is included. Thank you again. (Should I go on to work on another entry or would you suggest I wait for replies on this entry first). HarvResearch (talk) 18:55, 1 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I have moved it to Jim Simon (writer) it is awaiting review, you can just save any future edits. Theroadislong (talk) 18:59, 1 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Also, hope I removed all commercial references and I hope I resolved the "notability" issue by adding references to online articles that support the person's notable contribution to his field. HarvResearch (talk) 22:24, 1 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You have rather a lot of primary sources, and articles should be based on what reliable independent sources say. I will leave it for another reviewer, but I think it will probably fail notability.Theroadislong (talk) 22:29, 1 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
As for notability, I really am having a tough time with that. Again, thank you and much appreciation! HarvResearch (talk) 22:53, 1 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Can we use the following in External section?
(link) at Marvel Cinematic Universe
(link) at IMDB
(link) at Comic Vine HarvResearch (talk) 21:44, 9 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You can, but external links have no effect on any notability. Theroadislong (talk) 18:03, 10 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Good to know for future. HarvResearch (talk) 18:13, 10 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

From my talk page for User:Hyju

Hyju, You really have to be careful with the facts (that goes for other people writing on Wiki, Comic Vine, Grand Comics Database, etc). I was fortunate to have interviewed Jim at a comic convention and he was quite upset with people saying ShieldMaster was a patriotic superhero or that SM was inspired by Lancelot Strong and other creations of his father. Whoever is putting this false narrative on the sites do not know what they are talking about. He also told me the prototype Joe did for the initial character (SM) was not used in the actual comic. Also all those characters are grown men, and SM is a teenager with his own high school friends as a team. You might want to clean up Comic Vine and other sites that don't know the truth. This is a problem with fan websites, putting the wrong info down as if it's fact. But glad you enjoy the comics medium, I too do. I hope to get the record straight for Jim in this Wikipedia entry. Yes, he is not a patriotic hero, his study has a dimensional origin, but he has the colors and shield with the other heroes, an indirect influence is undeniable, Lancelot Strong is also part of this new universe, and even one of the covers of Blast to Past has the two fighting in homage to Superman vs Muhammad Ali. Spider Spry would be Thomas Troy himself who assumed the identity according to the first story, the uniform is inspired by a supposed concept by Jack Kirby (already proven to be false), in a French forum, Reed Man says that they decided to change the name to Spyder-Fly (L'araignée mouche) to avoid problems with Marvel, however, the forum is not a source, although they always release pre-releases on this forum.
