Comment: Likely WP:TOOSOON. At the moment, Schive appears to fail WP:GNG. The only source of any detail I was able to locate was here. BeanieFan11 (talk) 20:30, 2 June 2023 (UTC)

College Career
2021
After committing to San Jose State in April of 2021, Taren Schive made an immediate impact on the Spartans special team's kickoff unit. During Schive's freshman season, he handled kickoff duties for all 12 competitions. Schive made his first career start against the Southern Utah Thunderbirds on August 28, 2021, kicking five of eight kickoffs for touchbacks.[8] He finished the season with 28 touchbacks on 54 kickoffs for 3,270 yards. Schive also was named to the Academic All-Mountain West football team for the 2021 season.
2022
Schive picked up field goal duties in addition to kickoffs ahead of the 2022 season. After missing both of his first two collegiate field goal attempts, once against Portland State and once against Auburn, he would go on to knock five straight including a perfect two for two against Western Michigan.[9] His career high for attempts made in a game came against Auburn with three field goals from 33 yards, 27 yards, and 37 yards. Schive's career long field goal of 43 yard came in the contest against the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He would finish the 2022 campaign going 12 for 18 (66.7%) on field goals with five of his six misses coming in the first half of the season and 37 for 40 on PAT attempts with two of those being blocked.
2023
As a Junior in the 2023 college football season, kicker Taren Schive served as San Jose State University's kickoff specialist, participating in all 13 games. Over the season, he executed 73 kickoffs, covering a total of 3,944 yards, which averages to 54.0 yards per kickoff. Notably, San Jose State ranked 5th nationally in turnovers with 4 of them coming from kickoff recoveries.[10] Schive's reliable kickoff abilities contributed significantly to the Spartans' 8th ranked special teams unit throughout the 2023 season.[11] He also claimed CSC Academic All-District and Mountain West Scholar Athlete honors his Junior Season.[12] Taren Schive entered the NCAA Transfer Portal in December of 2023.
2024
In April of 2024, Schive committed to play for the Boise State Broncos. In the 2024 college football season, senior kicker Taren Schive played a pivotal role for the Boise State Broncos as the team's primary kickoff specialist, appearing in all 13 games. Beyond his kickoff duties, Schive showcased versatility by stepping in as a punter due to team injuries. On October 5, against Utah State, he averaged an impressive 56.0 yards per punt, including a season-long 71-yard punt. The 71 yard punt tied for 12th best in the NCAA that season.[13] The following week, on October 12, at Hawai'i, he continued his punting responsibilities, successfully placing both of his punts inside the 20-yard line. Culminating the season, he delivered touchbacks on all three of his kickoffs in the Bronco's first College Football Playoff Quarterfinal appearance in the VRBO Fiesta Bowl against No. 6 Penn State on December 31. Schive declared for the NFL Draft on January 20th, 2025.
