Decatur Township is in Macon County, Illinois. At the 2010 census, its population was 52,915 and it contained 24,918 housing units.[2]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 31.12 square miles (80.6 km2), of which 29.08 square miles (75.3 km2) (or 93.44%) is land and 2.05 square miles (5.3 km2) (or 6.59%) is water.[2]
