Rashard seems to be the wrong middle name. PFR has Rashad. Red Director (talk) 23:54, 8 February 2025 (UTC)
Delete. There doesn't seem to be a reference online to any middle name ("Rashad", "Rashard", or anything else), so I performed this edit since the inclusion of any middle name could be a WP:BLP issue. In fact, if Gerald Rashad Everett exists (and, in fact it does, and it was created by this RfD's nominator), it should probably be deleted as well. Steel1943 (talk) 02:51, 10 February 2025 (UTC)- @Steel1943: People often use Pro Football Reference as a source for names, which includes "Rashad" (link).
- Meanhwile, the Los Angeles Rams (he played 4 seasons for them and was drafted by them) list his middle name as "Rashard" (link). Scroll down and click read more, it's at the very bottom of his bio under the personal section. This media guide, from the Rams for the 2019 season, uses "Rashard" as well on page 94.
- The South Alabama Jaguars (who he played college football for) list his name as "Gerald Rashard Everett" as well (link).
- The Los Angeles Chargers, who he played for two seasons for, list his middle name as "Rashard" (link) in their 2023 media guide (page 133).
- His middle name is not listed in the Bears' 2024 media guide (page 142).
- So that makes three of his past teams (two pro, one college) stating his middle name is "Rashard" and not "Rasha". Pinging @Red Director. I think maybe PFR got it wrong on this one. Hey man im josh (talk) 13:53, 13 February 2025 (UTC)
- Yes, could have very have been a typo or who knows. I vote to remove both because this seems to be a rare case. If we do keep one, I vote 'Rashard'. Trying to do a good thing on my side ended up opening up a mountain lol. @Hey man im josh Red Director (talk) 14:44, 13 February 2025 (UTC)
- Based on the number of sources, I'm thinking keep would be the appropriate result. PFR does get it wrong occasionally, and I'll reach out to them about this (I sometimes end up sending them corrections based on research I'm doing). Hey man im josh (talk) 14:45, 13 February 2025 (UTC)

- I did have a ref in the article for his middle name (Rams bio) but someone accidentally removed it. :) ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 16:40, 13 February 2025 (UTC)
- You could have reverted me and I would have taken no offense lol. I was cleaning up the lead, or at least I thought I was because of how references are viewed in the lead. We will get these all squared away one day hopefully. The main issue is that trolls can place any middle name in those full names and some stick. This is not the case on this one though. @WikiOriginal-9 Red Director (talk) 19:53, 13 February 2025 (UTC)
- Even though the page is on my watchlist, I didn't notice until just now, lol. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 19:55, 13 February 2025 (UTC)
- I only put the ref in the lead on this one because this article has a history of random users (possibly trolls) adding "Geovanni" and "Geanni" to the lead. Also, if the ref for his middle name is removed from the lead, it should be placed in the body ("Gerald Rashard Everett was born on". ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 20:00, 13 February 2025 (UTC)

- Neutral per the above discussion, now that validating the correct name has been resolved and the misspelling apparently appears in sources (but it's not enough for me to change to "keep" since I'm weary about BLP misspellings, and I'm not familiar with the target subject). No discussion of such a hashtag at the target article. People who search for this hashtag will not know the context of what the hashtag is referring to. The anchor is invisible to readers who might not know why they got warped halfway down the page, and without a direct mention of such a hashtag for their eyeballs to latch onto, the context is guesswork as it stands. Utopes (talk / cont) 06:14, 24 January 2025 (UTC)
Delete per WP:MIXEDSCRIPT, the hashtag character used (#) is not in English keyboards. If the phrase gets mentioned in the target article eventually, Saveminecraft can be created, and ... wait, it already exists? Anyways, if it's mentioned, then a {{Technical reasons}} and/or {{Correct title}} hatnote may need to be added somewhere. (Well, 2 nominations incoming ...) Steel1943 (talk) 22:09, 24 January 2025 (UTC)- ...Actually, make that only 1 for Saveminecraft. I was considering nominating almost all the redirects listed here (pages that begin with "#"), but then decided to take a pause after discovering Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2019 April 26##willpower, in addition to noticing that typing "#" (standard hashtag/pound sign on English keyboards) in Wikipedia's search bar brings up pages/redirects that begin with "#" (the character not in English keyboards which this nominated redirect begins with). @Utopes: Pinging you since we had a related WP:MIXEDSCRIPT discussion in the past. Steel1943 (talk) 22:20, 24 January 2025 (UTC)
- What exactly do you mean by "the hashtag character used (#) is not in English keyboards"? It's on my keyboard, and I'm typing in English. WhatamIdoing (talk) 21:20, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
- The above message was clear about two different characters being involved. One of which is on English keyboards (the one you're posting) and the other is not (the one in this redirect). "#" is not on English keyboards, because it represents an entirely different symbol. The link left by Steel indicates that "#" is not a number sign, but a sharp (music), which is why an article title can start with it. If it was a regular number sign, it would be impossible, as starting an article with a regular number-sign is disallowed by mediawiki. Utopes (talk / cont) 03:30, 27 January 2025 (UTC)

- Keep. The rationale was that the term is not mentioned at the target article but now it is mentioned, and I agree with it being mentioned. It was explained above that WP:MIXEDSCRIPT should not be held to apply because allowing for this symbol is an accepted technical workaround and such redirects are one type of a redirect from hashtag, as explained in Template:R from hashtag/doc#Usage. (The hashtag can either be excluded or included using replacement symbols.)—Alalch E. 15:26, 9 February 2025 (UTC)

Recently created. Talk:Bésame Mucho (disambiguation) is a red link, so it cannot be pointed there and as per WP:DAB it cannot be created. (CC) Tbhotch™ 21:53, 8 February 2025 (UTC)
- Create Talk:Bésame Mucho (disambiguation) (with {{WikiProject Disambiguation}}) and retarget there as my usual solution since nominating talk page redirects is incredibly meta-ish when other resolutions are possible. (In addition, I'm not seeing where on WP:DAB it states talk pages cannot be created to give a talk page redirect of an ambiguous title redirect a place to target. I recall that disambiguation page talk pages should not be created just to place the WikiProject tag on it, but this is a different situation since it would be created in order to prevent this nominated redirect from being deleted when its parent page exists.) - Oh duh, that's right! But yeah, I'd say a potential incoming link qualifies as "content" in this case ... combined with the apparent fact that I could not find any information against creating talk pages for this reason (or any reason) on WP:DAB or any other related disambiguation guidelines (not a template documentation page). In other words, this seems like a productive reason to follow WP:IAR if that guideline needs to be used. Steel1943 (talk) 15:18, 9 February 2025 (UTC)

- Kill Two Birds with One Stone → One Stone and Two Birds (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
The famous idiom is not mentioned at the target (less known Taiwanese film) The film's title is exactly the Chinese idiom translated literally as "one stone, two birds" which is the Chinese counterpart to "kill two birds with one stone", but that's now how the film's title has been translated in our article and not how it has been translated in this English-language Taiwanese source. Considering whether Idiom would be a suitable redirect target, I conclude that it is not, because while it mentions this expression as an example in a particular context, it does not even explain what it means, so this would not be helpful to a reader. —Alalch E. 19:57, 8 February 2025 (UTC)
- Comment: We also have an article titled Two Birds, One Stone about a hip hop song. Honestly, I'm surprised we do not have an article about the famous idiom. May be an WP:XY issue since the article about the idiom doesn't seem to exist. Steel1943 (talk) 23:30, 8 February 2025 (UTC)

Universo Paralello is a music festival in Bahia. There used to be content about it in the target article, added originally in Special:Diff/1179632199, in the aftermath of the Re'im music festival massacre (the music festival in Israel whose attendees were massacred was affiliated with the larger Brazilian Universo Paralello festival). This addition to the Bahia article was completely pointless and has since been undone, and so there is no mention of "Universo Paralello" at the target, and there's no suitable alternative target. —Alalch E. 19:18, 8 February 2025 (UTC)

- yeah, the wording was pretty bad, to be honest. but from about 35 minutes of searching, i found nothing of note (which is to say that i found blogs, family recipes, instances of it being involved in unrelated news, and articles in portuguese that don't have much to do with its presence in portugal or that other place). then again, google kind of hates my guts, so it might just not be giving me anything of note
- also, that's an english article in an italian food news outlet blog thing (i'm leaning on blog) focused on brazilian food (whatever a brazil is), in this case a regional variant of a dish with a seemingly unclear point of origin that seems to be mostly associated with india and southeast asia. truly the stardust crusaders of food consarn (speak evil) (see evil) 18:33, 13 January 2025 (UTC)

- At a glance, the dish seems likely notable enough for a section at the target article. But basically all sources are in Portuguese, and today isn't one of those days where my brain decides it can halfway read Portuguese. Heyyyy @JnpoJuwan: Would you be interested in taking a look here, and adding a section to the target article if there's enough coverage in reliable sources? -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (they|xe|🤷) 21:43, 13 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Tamzin my mother loves fried bananas like those! it certainly is not just an Asian thing. if I get some help with the research, I could make a little section for that. I haven't taken a look if there are enough reliable sources (or actually, what would count as such for food articles), but I believe that it is popular enough to have a few good ones! But perhaps she could help you with research questions? -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (they|xe|🤷) 22:36, 13 January 2025 (UTC)
- I'm not seeing much online for the Brazilian verson of banana fritter being even noteworthy enough for a section at Banana fritter, not finding much besides bare mentions, menu/festival offerings, and recipes via google. @JnpoJuwan, you might look at high-end cookbooks, as they very often do discuss a dish in some depth rather than simply giving a recipe. From the number of restaurants and festivals that seem to be offering it, it's obviously at least broadly-known.
- From the online recipes and the fact it's served in restaurants/at festivals, it looks like a completely reasonable redirect that might be used by someone whose first language is portuguese, so I certainly don't see any reason to delete the redirect. They may not know it's called a 'fritter' in English, but they'll definitely recognize it when they land on that page, and that's almost certainly what they'd have been looking for.
- But unless we can find some RS somewhere at minimum mentioning it as a commonly known or traditional dish in Brazil, I can't even see adding to Banana fritters something like, "The dish is also known in Brazil as bananas a milanesa" because of course everywhere bananas are eaten, someone is deep-frying them and posting a recipe. And in fact Banana fritter is looking a bit that way right now lol...might have to take a look at tightening that up a bit. Valereee (talk) 13:23, 14 January 2025 (UTC)

- Keep although this is rarely used, it does appear to be a valid redirect. I don't understand the original deletion rationale or the "clarification" following my initial comment. Polyamorph (talk) 09:08, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Polyamorph: The deletion rationale seems to be "per WP:FORRED". Steel1943 (talk) 21:42, 22 January 2025 (UTC)

Relisting comment: Still no clarity about the target's affinity with Brazil or other Portugese-speaking countries.

- Weak delete simply because whether or not the target has a connection to the Brazilian language is currently a bit unclear, so it may be better to be safe than sorry. Also, the recipe linked by Polyamorph may not be exactly what the target article is about, considering various English translations of the word "milanesa", which could mean "cutlet". Steel1943 (talk) 21:41, 22 January 2025 (UTC)
- "am brazil, can speak brazil" isn't much of a reliable source, but if it helps, "banana à milanesa" can't be a cutlet because cutlets are explicitly not a fruit thing. also, "chuleta" has an almost completely different meaning 'round these parts, and saying "chuleta de banana" is a crime against food consarn (speak evil) (see evil) 12:08, 23 January 2025 (UTC)

- Delete - we are speculating, we are not sure. Which would not have happened if there was mention of this eatable anywhere on enwiki. Regardless, is the redirect name a Portuguese term? Milanesa is not Poutuguese-specific, nor is à, but this specific usage of à would be Crasis#Portuguese, hence this nomination? Jay 💬 13:03, 23 February 2025 (UTC)
- yeah, that's a properly-used crasis. ultimately, it doesn't have much to do with the redirect's plausibility, as "banana a milanesa" would be just as implausible without proof of affinity consarn (prison phone) (crime record) 16:22, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
- Delete. Let's just put this to rest already. Not shown to warrant WP:RFOREIGN. --Paul_012 (talk) 19:25, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
- Weak keep per the discussion spurred by Tamzin's initial comment. Seems to be popular enough in Brazil that I don't think RFOREIGN applies here. Then again, this got just 11 views across the entirety of 2024, so it's lightly-used enough that I wouldn't care that much if it were deleted. Skarmory (talk • contribs) 21:32, 27 February 2025 (UTC)

Per WP:R#DELETE, very obscure synonym, borne from an editor misremembering the film's title. Is wholly unhelpful for WP:R#Keep. MimirIsSmart (talk) 13:41, 8 February 2025 (UTC)

Lots of things are numbered 5217 (a gene, a watch model, a multimeter, various forms, etc). This area isn't the primary topic and the zip code is an unlikely search term. Rusalkii (talk) 02:06, 8 February 2025 (UTC)

- The Most Expensive City In The World For Expats → Luanda (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
Nominating List of most expensive cities for expatriate employees. Redirect to Luanda reflects data from 2018/2019 source and is not current. Rather than constantly updating the redirect, there's already a list article that covers this. Lukeh486 (talk) 01:20, 8 February 2025 (UTC)
- Retarget to List of most expensive cities for expatriate employees per nom. In my humble opinion, redirects should never be created for statistical items that are subject to frequent change, such as "the busiest ____" or "the most expensive ____"; such redirects are too difficult to police, so they should only target the list where the items are found.
