This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on February 21, 2025.

Spears family

was about to retarget to spears (disambiguation), but nothing there strikes as "family-like". considered retargeting to spears (surname), but there's exactly one family there. considered retargeting to some section about britney spears' family, but that's pretty reductive. either way, the current target is grammatically incorrect, and that might be enough for keeping to not be an optimal choice. opinions? consarn (prison phone) (crime record) 20:34, 21 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

should note that it did target the dab before, but that was a redirect, so it eventually ended up at the current target consarn (prison phone) (crime record) 20:35, 21 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Speared

weird case. "speared" as an adjective can refer to wielding or being poked with the big disjointed hitbox the target speaks about, sure, but as a verb, it can refer to pretty much any form of stabbing, plus tackling people with your head in gridiron football, and plants going brrr (so wiktionary says, at least). admittedly not keen on retargeting to spearing, but you never know consarn (prison phone) (crime record) 20:26, 21 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Pointy stick

you'd think so anyway, and be technically correct... but results were torn between a lot of pointy sticks, like spears (and related weapons), pencils, swords (and related weapons), canes, plague doctors' social distancing rods, literal pointy sticks (as in tree sticks, that may or may not have been sharpened), cooking utensils, some star trek joke i'm missing, conducting batons, arrows, and... dongs. why must you do this to me, google consarn (prison phone) (crime record) 20:18, 21 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Mixed-culture

The redirect is not synonymous with the target: Someone with multiple cultures is not necessarily of multiple races. Steel1943 (talk) 19:34, 21 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Kentucky militia

The history of Kentucky militia is much greater than the War of 1812. The state had militia through to the Civil War era - see for instance Simon Bolivar Buckner's 1861 activities, or the various Home Guard units later in the war. I think the current target is far to specific to be useful. Hog Farm Talk 18:40, 21 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Foundations of Aritmetic

Delete as implausible double error -- missing "The" and an unlikely typo of "Arithmetic". 35.139.154.158 (talk) 16:17, 21 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep Both of these errors seem plausible, and the redirect gets consistent views. Even scholarly books on the subject appear to omit the definite article. "Aritmetic" does not seem like that unlikely of a typo either. - Presidentman talk · contribs (Talkback) 17:11, 21 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It got views because up until very recently, it was used in an article that probably got clicks. It's since been fixed here. A red link would have immediately been spotted, so this one was actively harmful; this persisted for a long time. Regardless, random letter deletions are particularly unspecial errors, and there's no reason why this one should exist versus any of the other possible billions thereof. 35.139.154.158 (talk) 17:41, 21 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The error was just corrected yesterday, so this proposed deletion seems hasty IMO. Presidentman talk · contribs (Talkback) 00:33, 23 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. ⟨th⟩ to ⟨t⟩ may be a more common error for readers whose native language does not have [θ]. StainedGlassCavern (talk) 18:01, 22 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
So what? We don't even have aritmetic itself (nor should we), or are you suggesting that every single article title that contains "arithmetic" or some variant thereof get a redirect that omits the "h"? That way madness lies. And as I mentioned above, we have evidence that this one was actually harmful, causing a typo to not get spotted right away; this is a good reason not to make these. 35.139.154.158 (talk) 22:20, 22 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I see where you're coming from, but to be honest with you, I think redirecting Aritmetic to Arithmetic wouldn't be a terrible idea. Romanian spells their borrowing "aritmetic", and Catalan spells it aritmètic, which asciis down to "aritmetic." And yes, I know that non-English redirects to a page whose subject is unrelated to that language generally shouldn't be created, but when that non-English word is also a very easy typo from the English word (in this case, a single-character omission particularly common among non-native English speakers), it's all the more reason to create and maintain it. After all, if it weren't a plausible typo, it wouldn't have been made, and we wouldn't be having this discussion. Yes, the editor who made the redirect should have cleaned up the misspelled wikilink while they were at it. But that doesn't make the redirect useless or harmful. Just my two cents. StainedGlassCavern (talk) 20:52, 23 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak keep omission of the definite article "The" is commonplace, so not a reason to reject it. The typo by omission of "H" is a single character typo otherwise. WP:RCHEAP as {{R from typo}} -- 65.92.246.77 (talk) 23:45, 22 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Curse you, Perry the Platypus!

Not mentioned at target; whether to retarget to Perry_the_Platypus#Role_in_Phineas_and_Ferb, where it is mentioned, is beyond me. 𝚈𝚘𝚟𝚝 (𝚝𝚊𝚕𝚔𝚟𝚝) 15:05, 21 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

VerbalAse

Not mentioned at target. 𝚈𝚘𝚟𝚝 (𝚝𝚊𝚕𝚔𝚟𝚝) 15:02, 21 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. No mention of the YouTuber in the article at all and his association with the show is incredibly minimal. Blubewwy (talk) 20:02, 21 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Delete. Incredibly tenuous connection not mentioned at target. -insert valid name here- (talk) 21:42, 21 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: There should be a section about VerbalAse (or however you capitalize it). —theMainLogan (tc) 19:15, 23 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Why? The only thing VerbalAse has ever done associated with Hazbin is commission a self-insert animation that got memed on for like a week one year ago. I don't think it was covered significantly by reliable sources, not enough to be notable for inclusion on Wikipedia at least. And any other information on VerbalAse would be better suited for his own article, rather than the Hazbin article. Blubewwy (talk) 21:52, 23 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Disney Cartoon Studios

Walt Disney Pictures is the division focusing on live-action films. Walt Disney Animation Studios is its animation sector. RanDom 404 (talk) 14:47, 21 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Zeolite redirects

At Zeolite#Mineral species, there is a list of zeolites that all have Wikilinks. These six are the only ones that do not link to an article or are red linked. Instead, they redirect to the page they are already on. Yes, these links are also on a few other pages, but I believe they would also be best left as red links. This would make them easier to spot for editors who might be interested in creating those articles. (See WP:RETURNTORED and WP:RED) I2Overcome (talk) 11:22, 21 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
