Spears family
- Spears family → Spear (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
was about to retarget to spears (disambiguation), but nothing there strikes as "family-like". considered retargeting to spears (surname), but there's exactly one family there. considered retargeting to some section about britney spears' family, but that's pretty reductive. either way, the current target is grammatically incorrect, and that might be enough for keeping to not be an optimal choice. opinions? consarn (prison phone) (crime record) 20:34, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- should note that it did target the dab before, but that was a redirect, so it eventually ended up at the current target consarn (prison phone) (crime record) 20:35, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- Delete, which is what I think ought to have been done in 2006. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 20:38, 23 February 2025 (UTC)
- Retarget to Spears (surname). Since there is one family there it's a good fix. Can be retargetted again if things change. All the best: Rich Farmbrough 17:01, 26 February 2025 (UTC).
Speared
weird case. "speared" as an adjective can refer to wielding or being poked with the big disjointed hitbox the target speaks about, sure, but as a verb, it can refer to pretty much any form of stabbing, plus tackling people with your head in gridiron football, and plants going brrr (so wiktionary says, at least). admittedly not keen on retargeting to spearing, but you never know consarn (prison phone) (crime record) 20:26, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
Pointy stick
- Pointy stick → Spear (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
you'd think so anyway, and be technically correct... but results were torn between a lot of pointy sticks, like spears (and related weapons), pencils, swords (and related weapons), canes, plague doctors' social distancing rods, literal pointy sticks (as in tree sticks, that may or may not have been sharpened), cooking utensils, some star trek joke i'm missing, conducting batons, arrows, and... dongs. why must you do this to me, google consarn (prison phone) (crime record) 20:18, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- Delete. Another hopelessly vague redirect ... makes me think of Switch (corporal punishment) or even Cue stick. Steel1943 (talk) 22:21, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- Keep because pointy stick. —theMainLogan (t•c) 19:16, 23 February 2025 (UTC)

- ..."Keep because [INSERT REDIRECT NAME HERE]" is just utter nonsense. Steel1943 (talk) 21:53, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
- Delete. Too vague to be useful. Could refer to a spear, many other polearms (though not all: it's unlikely that e.g. a quarterstaff would be referred to as a "pointy stick"), a pointer, a goad, and probably other things. There's also a board game company called Pointy Stick Games but no Wikipedia article on them. Caeciliusinhorto-public (talk) 10:55, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
- Disambiguate to articles for all of the subjects in question. The Master of Hedgehogs (talk) (contributions) (Sign my guestbook!) 11:53, 25 February 2025 (UTC)
- i disagree, as the descriptor is subjective and not even mentioned in the targets. plus, the alleged pointy sticks can also be dull, cutty, whacky, walky, cooky, some adjective related to star trek, or nsfw consarn (prison phone) (crime record) 15:44, 25 February 2025 (UTC)
- Is there a figure of speech for this sort of construction? Do we have anything at (better than a poke in the eye with a) Sharp stick? All the best: Rich Farmbrough 17:03, 26 February 2025 (UTC).
- Delete to allow the search function to operate; I don't think the reader is better served by a dab page containing a number of marginally useful entries than they would be the search function. Sometimes it's okay just to say we don't have any good content for such a term. Hog Farm Talk 02:36, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
Mixed-culture
- Mixed-culture → Multiracial people (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
The redirect is not synonymous with the target: Someone with multiple cultures is not necessarily of multiple races. Steel1943 (talk) 19:34, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- Comment: Multi-ethnic and Mixed ethnicity also redirect to Multiracial people. That article bolds multi-ethnic people in the lede as if it will meaningfully deal with the topic, but it does not as it stands. StainedGlassCavern (talk) 17:57, 22 February 2025 (UTC)

Kentucky militia
- Kentucky militia → Kentucky in the War of 1812#Kentucky militia (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
The history of Kentucky militia is much greater than the War of 1812. The state had militia through to the Civil War era - see for instance Simon Bolivar Buckner's 1861 activities, or the various Home Guard units later in the war. I think the current target is far to specific to be useful. Hog Farm Talk 18:40, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- Keep, this should be made into an article. It currently has 12 articles that link to it and there is precedence for separate state militia articles. Semper Fi! FieldMarine (talk) 11:48, 23 February 2025 (UTC)

Foundations of Aritmetic
- Foundations of Aritmetic → The Foundations of Arithmetic (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
Delete as implausible double error -- missing "The" and an unlikely typo of "Arithmetic". 35.139.154.158 (talk) 16:17, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- Keep Both of these errors seem plausible, and the redirect gets consistent views. Even scholarly books on the subject appear to omit the definite article. "Aritmetic" does not seem like that unlikely of a typo either. - Presidentman talk · contribs (Talkback) 17:11, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- It got views because up until very recently, it was used in an article that probably got clicks. It's since been fixed here. A red link would have immediately been spotted, so this one was actively harmful; this persisted for a long time. Regardless, random letter deletions are particularly unspecial errors, and there's no reason why this one should exist versus any of the other possible billions thereof. 35.139.154.158 (talk) 17:41, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- The error was just corrected yesterday, so this proposed deletion seems hasty IMO. Presidentman talk · contribs (Talkback) 00:33, 23 February 2025 (UTC)

- Keep. ⟨th⟩ to ⟨t⟩ may be a more common error for readers whose native language does not have [θ]. StainedGlassCavern (talk) 18:01, 22 February 2025 (UTC)
- So what? We don't even have aritmetic itself (nor should we), or are you suggesting that every single article title that contains "arithmetic" or some variant thereof get a redirect that omits the "h"? That way madness lies. And as I mentioned above, we have evidence that this one was actually harmful, causing a typo to not get spotted right away; this is a good reason not to make these. 35.139.154.158 (talk) 22:20, 22 February 2025 (UTC)
- I see where you're coming from, but to be honest with you, I think redirecting Aritmetic to Arithmetic wouldn't be a terrible idea. Romanian spells their borrowing "aritmetic", and Catalan spells it aritmètic, which asciis down to "aritmetic." And yes, I know that non-English redirects to a page whose subject is unrelated to that language generally shouldn't be created, but when that non-English word is also a very easy typo from the English word (in this case, a single-character omission particularly common among non-native English speakers), it's all the more reason to create and maintain it. After all, if it weren't a plausible typo, it wouldn't have been made, and we wouldn't be having this discussion. Yes, the editor who made the redirect should have cleaned up the misspelled wikilink while they were at it. But that doesn't make the redirect useless or harmful. Just my two cents. - Weak keep omission of the definite article "The" is commonplace, so not a reason to reject it. The typo by omission of "H" is a single character typo otherwise. WP:RCHEAP as {{R from typo}} -- 65.92.246.77 (talk) 23:45, 22 February 2025 (UTC)

- Why? The only thing VerbalAse has ever done associated with Hazbin is commission a self-insert animation that got memed on for like a week one year ago. I don't think it was covered significantly by reliable sources, not enough to be notable for inclusion on Wikipedia at least. And any other information on VerbalAse would be better suited for his own article, rather than the Hazbin article. Blubewwy (talk) 21:52, 23 February 2025 (UTC)

- In my opinion, "implausible error" makes no sense. R and D are close to eachother on the keyboard. The Master of Hedgehogs (talk) (contributions) (Sign my guestbook!) 11:44, 25 February 2025 (UTC)
- Delete. Probably not an error, but a meme missing a word ... search "Ronald McDonald Trump" on third party search engines and see what happens. Steel1943 (talk) 22:24, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- Keep - valid typo -R and D are right next to each other and are hit with the same finger in QWERTY touch typing. - Re typo: a) Standard touch typing uses the left index finger for the R and the left middle finger for the D, and it's pretty hard to make that specific typo, and b) there are billions of possible such typos, what makes this one so special? And re: comparison to Reagan, if that's the case, we have no mention of this at the target, so if someone is using this to search for information about it, they'll be left confused. 35.139.154.158 (talk) 14:19, 22 February 2025 (UTC)
right next to each other and are hit with the same finger
— nope. The D is in the row below and to the left of the R on both QWERTY and QWERTZ keyboard layouts, and they're typed with the middle and index fingers, respectively. One of the sources cited in the RfD, the Daily Beast, uses 'Ronald' once, in scare quotes, and I don't know what Cohen aka Ali G's 2018 "tongue-in-cheek Twitter post" referring to Trump as "my main man, President Ronald Trump" proves.

- Weak keep as a Template:R from typo ( | talk | history | links | watch | logs) for "D" by "R" but retarget to Donald Trump (disambiguation) as it is for the term -- 65.92.246.77 (talk) 23:48, 22 February 2025 (UTC)
- Delete I'm not convinced. * Pppery * it has begun... 16:48, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
- Keep as plausible typo. R and D are close on the keyboard, so calling Donald "Ronald" is a plausible mistake one can make when they ade typing too fast. The Master of Hedgehogs (talk) (contributions) (Sign my guestbook!) 11:44, 25 February 2025 (UTC)
