I cant find any information saying Turkish passport holders can get a visa for the counties above on arrival. In the country list, Burundi requires a visa but the map shows as visa free. Can you please double check the information is you provide is correct.Getting a visa at the airport for Cape Verde is so easy.We could put as visa on arrival as there is no Cape Verde diplomatic representative in Turkey. Many Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ajdamania2 (talk • contribs) 06:35, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ozguroot, yanitin icin cok tesekurler gecikme icinde cok ozur dilerim. Saudi passports
Thank you for you note on my talk page.
I know that there was talk about abolishing visa-on-arrival for citizens of Gulf countries. However the Turkish embassy site in London still lists Saudi Arabians among those that can get the visa on arrival (see [1]). Do you have any official site which shows that this facility has been abolished for Saudi passport holders ?
I also check timatic [2] and it lists the planned date for the abolition of the facility as November 1, 2009. I.e. it most likely hasn't taken effect yet. When and if it does, I will change the page to reflect this. Passportguy (talk) 16:52, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Hello. Thanks for your message.
Unfortunately, I have no such an official site which approves abolishing of those 'on arrival' visas for Gulf countries.
I've seen that only on timatic website. It writes same thing (as November 1, 2009) for Saudi, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait.
I will let you know if / when i will have an official alert and more details on that subject.
By the way,
You wrote that, you know that there was talk about abolishing V.O.A for citizens of Gulf countries. From where did you hear that? Does the EU wants Turkey to do so?
Thanks.
With my best regards..

File Copyright problem
Thanks for uploading File:Yenibiyometrikpasaportlar.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 18:45, 27 June 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast (talk) 18:45, 27 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Ozguroot, I wanted to change the picture of countries which have biometric passports, but I couldn't, so if you can I would really appreciate it. Since 15 October Bosnia and Herzegovina started issuing biometric passports, if you could mark it on a map, it would be cool. Could you explain your reversions - at least quantify them on the discussion page as I've asked. The removal wasn't unneccesary, because as it currently stands the reinstated sentence is unclear. Which "original" Playstation does the sentence refer to? A specific model (such as the SCPH-1000), a country release, (US/EURO/JP?) or merely the original grey box Playstation? As stated, my 1002 - the original European release - has the grey slabbed music background, ergo the sentence is inaccurate in at least one logical interpretation. a_man_alone (talk) 22:47, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hello.
I think there's been a misunderstanding, or I haven't been clear enough.
Original PlayStation = SCPH-1000 = JP
Removal of 'visa free travel' block from all national Passport articles
Following notification at CENT and subsequent discussion at Talk:Passport, a clear consensus has emerged for the removal of these sections from the articles concerned. Please do not unilaterally re-apply them Thank you. RashersTierney (talk) 22:37, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You are just wasting your time, because A LOT OF people will undo them. And again because; People like those details. People want those details when they check "X Passport". People look for those details. They're useful information for their articles. What would you put there, otherwise? List of famous pop singers?! Or maybe people visit their passports articles to see some photos and the colour of the passports? Not funny.

Hello. It appears that you have been canvassing—leaving messages on others' talk pages to notify them of an ongoing community decision, debate, or vote. While friendly notices are allowed, they should be limited and nonpartisan in distribution and should reflect a neutral point of view. Please do not post notices which are indiscriminately cross-posted, which espouse a certain point of view or side of a debate, or which are selectively sent only to those who are believed to hold the same opinion as you. Remember to respect Wikipedia's principle of consensus-building by allowing decisions to reflect the prevailing opinion among the community at large. There is nothing wrong. I do respect Wikipedia's principles that's why i reported your "decide" to them so they'll check it out. They may think opposite, right? They are moderators & editor of the article in subject. I wanted to let them know about that "craziness".

Welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your comments. Please note that on Wikipedia, consensus is determined by discussion, not voting, and it is the quality of arguments that counts, not the number of people supporting a position. Consider reading about the deletion policy for a brief overview for the deletion process, and how we decide what to keep and what to delete. We hope you decide to stay and contribute even more. Thank you! Mass reverting of consensus edits is unlikely to result in a new consensus and may be considered disruptive. Please re-consider your behavior on passport-related articles.RashersTierney (talk) 17:31, 25 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
"Resume discussion?" I must say the same for you. The problem is you don't care about the discussion. YOU are deleting the sections, not me. --Ozguroot (talk) 02:06, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Isn't banning the only one-side (me) already a "picking a side"? I am sorry but i will resume all of them. If that won't be me, it will just be someone else. This user is almost EMPTYING the "Passport" articles. The editors of those articles (including me) do NOT agree with him, and neither with that removal. Please read: Talk:Passport Regards. --Ozguroot (talk) 01:56, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ozguroot, I know we are on opposite sides of this content dispute but threatening to resume your revert warring is almost guaranteed to get your block extended. Please desist. After you resume editing, you are welcome to try to make your case at [[Talk:Passport}} by reasoned debate but this mass reverting has to stop. Its very disruptive. RashersTierney (talk) 02:05, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I did not try to revert your latest wave of edit warring, no. Instead I pleaded that you stop reverting, twice, which you ignored. I wouldn't revert more than twice, it's never productive, and it establishes that there is a conflict which needs to be solved with words, not button mashing. You pride yourself on ignorance of policy - perhaps this hour long block may give you some time to read it. —what a crazy random happenstance02:07, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
"Needs to be solved with words?" Yes, that was the problem. The problem is "words" don't make you stop deleting the sections. Seriously, do you read the comments on Talk:Passport? (No, not just yours but the others.) --Ozguroot (talk) 02:17, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, this mass deleting really has to stop. An another editor says: So far 9 editors have spoken up against this removal. There is no consensus for your point of view. --Ozguroot (talk) 02:11, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have responded to his concerns on Talk:Passport, directing him to the poll which has been conducted and which has resulted in overall support for the proposal. I will not discuss this here, when you're ready to participate in mature discussion rather than edit warring you can rejoin the debate. —what a crazy random happenstance02:14, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ozguroot edited in line with reestablished consensus while the other user that complained Happenstance as well as RashersTierney were equally abusive and reverted him then he reverted them etc. I find it absurd to block him for these edits, especially mentioning how they were mass edits; did you check edit history of those articles? Apparently not because you would see mass removal preceding his edits. User RashersTierney has run what I believe to be a canvassed straw poll to establish consensus but soon after the "consensus" was noted by regular editors it became apparent there was no consensus to remove large amount of info from 200 articles. The "consensus" was thus gone the very next day. Ozguroot might be angrier then the rest because unlike us he didn't just loose months of work but also a lot of money he gave to receive prompt updates on the subject so that he could update Wikipedia. Finally I will quote one user from the talk page, I see no signs of consensus from the dozens of diligent editors who maintained those pages and were blindsided by their removal without so much as a notice on the corresponding talk pages of the articles affected.--Avala (talk) 11:23, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
added a new template to help clean up passport pages
Next time you're in the passport pages (esp. Mongolian passport, where I started) please note I created a new template {{timatic}} which looks to simplify and reduce the number of errors associated with generating links to authoritative Timatic passport control data. I'm hoping this template can be worked on further to reliably generate links which are self-evidently correct, compact to type, and maintainable. Thank you.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on [[Talk:File:Yakup-kadri-karaosmanoglu.jpg|the article's talk page]] explaining your position. From Olegwiki
Thank you for praising my contributions to English Wikipedia! Recently I have been blocked from Russian Wikipedia for alleged "distructive behaiviour" (the issue was the differency of views regarding the antisemitism of last Russian emperors) and now I fight for deblocking (a sympathetic Russian administrator has agreed to act on my behalf). I used to be involved mostly with Russian Wikipedia but now I edit English Wikipedia more.
Among other things, I am interested in Turkish issues, I have been to Turkey three times (Antalia and Istanbul) and have read an interesting book "Sons of Conquerors" about Turks and other Turkish peoples.
By the way, I have noted that you admire Grigori Perelman, a Russian mathematician. I am actualy his relative (second cousin). However, we do not have much contact (I have met him personally only once, before he became so famouse).
Olegwiki (talk) 06:50, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again, Olegwiki. Wow, how nice! He's a GREAT person! Please send my best regards for him. Actually, you've a lot of people to be proud of. Grigori Perelman, Fyodor Mikhaylovich Dostoyevsky, Leo Tolstoy are just very few of them. I've almost a full set of Dostoyevsky's and Tolstoy's books. They're very precious writers, not only for Russian literature, but for the World literature as well! I like Russian literature, history, language and people. Too many Turco-Russian families here in Turkey. Glad to see they're happy. Russian people are usually very educated and smart. However, sadly, the youth there seem becoming nazists, nowadays. A nazist Russian... Sounds like a comedy. Don't they even read their own history? Sad.. :-( Anyway, my best wishes for Russian nation and people. --Ozguroot (talk) 22:53, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Merhaba Ozguroot. Visa requirements for Turkish citizens maddesinde Mısır devletinin Türk vtandaşlarından vze isteği yazılı. Bu doğru fakat 15 dolar karşılığı sınır kapısından vize alınabiliyor. 2009 senesinden beri bu böyledir. İstersen Mısır knsolololuğunu arayıpsorabilirsin. Merhaba. --Ozguroot (talk) 11:12, 28 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Map
There's absolutely no reason to keep russia still in green in this map. It might very well misguide people. And also visa free and visa on arrival countries should be seperated. Maps are alot more helpful than lists because most people dont bother go down and check out lists below. You cant put notes into those lists either even though an agrement is signed its not in force until both governments ratify it in their parliements. If youre so keen on letting people know about an upcoming visa free situation you can put those countries in a different colour while youre changing the map. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ardagul87 (talk • contribs) 08:16, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Maps are much helpful than detailed lists? Wait, how many people use ONLY THE MAP and discover the visa regime of Bahrain, St. Lucia, Papua New Guinea for Turkish citizens by a single eye-hit to the map and don't bother going down to look to the list? I can't put notes into those lists? Who said so? Where's this rule? Those notes even offer some additional (and important) details to the visitors if you care about not-misguiding the people. Yes, I agree on that - Russia and Yemen will be removed from the map soon. --Ozguroot (talk) 16:02, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Diyarbakir 1.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description.
