The August 2023 Good Article Nominations Backlog Drive is at the halfway mark, and has seen incredible progress, dropping the backlog from 638 to 359 unreviewed articles -- a 43.7% reduction in only fifteen days! But we still have over two weeks to go, and there are plenty of articles left to review:

• We've gone from 14 nominations 270+ days old and 65 nominations 180+ days old to 2 and 0 respectively. No more articles will reach 270+ status during the drive, and only three more will reach 180+ if unreviewed, so this is your last chance to get the higher age bonuses!
• We still have plenty of articles in the 90+ range, but the list is shrinking fast.
• Some articles need new reviewers, either because they're officially on second opinion or because the original reviews were deleted or invalidated. You can help prevent these articles from waiting longer!
• While there are starting to be clear favourites for the Content Review Medal of Merit, the field is still very open. A late entrant can still pull an upset to get the most reviews in the drive!

And remember: if you've done reviews, you should log them at the backlog drive page for points, so they can be tracked towards your awards at the end.

Hi - I got your e-mail. G5 applies when an article's creator was evading a block at the time when they created an article. It doesn't apply to stuff they did before they were blocked, but if we can establish that an account was created by an account being used by someone who was evading an existing block, and the article hasn't been edited substantively by other editors, then G5 applies. @Mehediabedin, I know that quotes can be used in articles, but the paragraph you used was really long. As other experienced folks on the English Wikipedia's Discord server have told me that when adding reviews or quotes, it's better to keep them short, around 8 to 10 words, and express them in your own words to avoid potential copyright issues. Quick note: I'd recommend re-adding the // <nowiki> and // </nowiki> lines at the top and bottom in your fork of the script, otherwise the software may see templates in your code (E.g. {{DEFAULTSORT}}) and attempt to "transclude" them, landing the page in some tracking categories. Hello, I had noticed your comment on Draft talk:Mukesh Chhabra about how all the sources are sponsored content. I added a note to that effect as an AFC comment in the draft.

For my own education, how can you tell these are sponsored? Other than the Times of India, which has a reputation for publishing such things, I don't see how one can tell if the other sources are paid articles or not. Please enlighten me. ~Anachronist (talk) 17:45, 1 October 2023 (UTC)

@Anachronist, The sources available at the time of my comment were the news websites included in ANI's public relations plan and when I was in Mumbai in August, I heard on social media about the PR conducted by their company from time to time without disclaimers, so I found it suspicious. After that when I searched for these types of packages on the internet, I found many such packages, including many websites considered reliable on Wikipedia. Although I felt that such articles should be thoroughly checked before accepting them on Wikipedia, that is why I had added that note, but now I think I should remove it.
