This RM was opened almost a week ago but no response. You got time to comment? Kailash29792 (talk) 11:23, 2 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Kailash29792: I feel that Maa Manithan and Maamanithan (film) can be confused due to having the same title can I add the year in a RM? DareshMohan (talk) 21:14, 2 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, an RM could be opened for either. Kailash29792 (talk) 01:03, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Shouldn't Kuththu now be at Kuthu (disambiguation)? Considering all the entries have only one "th" each. Kailash29792 (talk) 05:13, 5 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Madurai Muthu and Mangalanathan Gurukkal

I had planned to write articles for both Madurai Muthu and Mangalanathan Gurukkal who have done handful of films. Madurai Muthu is mostly known in television field for his stand-up comedy performances, whereas Mangalanathan Gurukkal being a typical Brahmin Iyer has predominantly appeared in over 100 Tamil films often in kovil pooja sequences. I only knew his real name as Mangalanathan Gurukkal when I accidentally delved into r/kollywood subreddit channel in Reddit where there are nerds who speak and analyse eloquently about films in a comprehensive manner giving so much importance to filmmaking aspects. But, the real problem lies in identifying how many films both of them have committed in their careers. Only listed around 3-5 films for each of them, because there was no clarity on how many film credits are there for these two individuals. Do you have any idea and scope for article improvements? Abishe (talk) 15:37, 5 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Abishe: yeah but Mangalanathan Gurukkal acted in many films including a Sivakarthikeyan film (i am mistaken?) @Srivin:. Kudos to your good work! DareshMohan (talk) 03:38, 6 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I was fascinated and flabbergasted to know about a lookalike person similar in the mould of Sivaji Ganesan and he was from Singapore named as Asokan Muniyandy. Do you have much idea on this? He apparently does mannerisms, facial expressions and body language similar to Sivaji Ganesan after being told about how he looked similar to Sivaji by his close associates. I have a doubt on his actual name as some sources mentioned it as Asokan Muniyandy while some other sources deoicted it as Asokan S/O Muniyandy which is baffling to me. He apparently collapsed and died after doing a stage performance where he was seen lip-syncing to one of Sivaji's old songs. I wonder what else is there to describe about him like has he done any films besides stage acting performances. Hopefully you can add indepth details about him if you know about him. Abishe (talk) 14:39, 9 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Abishe: Woah that guy looks more like Sivaji than Bala Sivaji in Vanangaan. DareshMohan (talk) 17:40, 9 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Sivudu

It seems Suseenthiran made a bilingual of Veerapandiyapuram in Telugu with Aadhi titled Sivudu. I guess this version never came out though its Hindi dubbed is available. Srivin (talk) 13:32, 26 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
