I think it is official, the media just hasn't bothered to report about it. That being said, Elections Canada just has May listed as leader still, and I don't know that it will change on there as I'm guessing you can only have one official leader listed on Elections Canada. I receptive to the argument that we note co-leaders regardless of what Elections Canada says. If Elections Canada says there is only one leader, that can be addressed in a note if needed. What I am struggling more with is the fact that we don't seem to have sufficient sourcing for the claim that he is currently the co-leader. Besides this press release, I have seen nothing. And the Green Party doesn't even seem to have updated their website. Elizabeth May is listed as the sole leader on the party's "Team" page. There is no mention of Jonathan Pedneault or the "co-leadership". The website header navigation bar, only refers to "Elizabeth" where one would expect bios of the leader(s). Yes, I haven't seen the CPAC video. It seems all we have are primary sources from the party itself (ie that lack independence). But for what it is worth he has changed his twitter/x to say he is co-leader/co-chef and a party press release from today also refers to him as co-leader.
