The Party President has changed.

Natalie Odd resigned on Dec. 18, 2024, she is no longer the GPC Federal Council President. Her name should be removed. Here is the link https://www.greenparty.ca/en/party/structure/council EileanArainn (talk) 19:47, 1 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

 Done ..... I'm hoping this is right.... Not sure if it's a position or jurisdiction that she's done with.Moxy🍁 19:56, 1 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Co-leadership

Time to add Pedneault as co-leader similar to Alliance 90 article. Rushtheeditor (talk) 23:17, 5 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Are RS reporting this yet? I saw the party's press release. Did no one else pick it up? Just has me wondering if I am missing something and there is another step needed before it is official.-- Darryl Kerrigan (talk) 22:57, 5 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I think it is official, the media just hasn't bothered to report about it. That being said, Elections Canada just has May listed as leader still, and I don't know that it will change on there as I'm guessing you can only have one official leader listed on Elections Canada. But we'll see. Skylerbuck (talk) 06:39, 6 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
We do co-leaders regardless what elections canada says. For Quebec Solidaire, they have a leader we do not list as they have co-spokespeople instead. this is precedent. Rushtheeditor (talk) 01:22, 7 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I receptive to the argument that we note co-leaders regardless of what Elections Canada says. If Elections Canada says there is only one leader, that can be addressed in a note if needed. What I am struggling more with is the fact that we don't seem to have sufficient sourcing for the claim that he is currently the co-leader. Besides this press release, I have seen nothing. And the Green Party doesn't even seem to have updated their website. Elizabeth May is listed as the sole leader on the party's "Team" page. There is no mention of Jonathan Pedneault or the "co-leadership". The website header navigation bar, only refers to "Elizabeth" where one would expect bios of the leader(s). I think we should just wait for better sourcing, or perhaps the Green Party to at least update their own website.-- Darryl Kerrigan (talk) 01:42, 7 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The GPC is likely going to update its website at a later date. There is an official GPC statement about co-leadership, and in press conferences on CPAC, Pedneault is addressed as a co-leader. Rushtheeditor (talk) 05:04, 8 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I haven't seen the CPAC video. It seems all we have are primary sources from the party itself (ie that lack independence). But for what it is worth he has changed his twitter/x to say he is co-leader/co-chef and a party press release from today also refers to him as co-leader. It does seem clear that the party is referring to him as co-leader now (despite not updating other parts of their website).-- Darryl Kerrigan (talk) 01:12, 11 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
For what it is worth, the Hill Times is referring to them as co-leaders now. It seems to be time.--Darryl Kerrigan (talk) 23:39, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
And his role is now included on the re-branded website.[1] Rainbow Eyez is also noted as deputy leader so we should likely add that back. Not sure when she was removed from the infobox.-- Darryl Kerrigan (talk) 16:24, 18 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
