Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

Palindromes

"Zakopane" is the name of a town in Polish mountains (Tatra). This means "buried under" the snow, perhaps. At least we understand the name in such a way today. "Na pokaz" in dictionaries is translated "for show". It fits well, because the town of Zakopane is the place, we show to tourists that come to Poland. The town is inhabited mainly by Gorals, who resemble - I think - Scottish people, are tough, very courageous and can work very hard, but like to fight and have traditional weapon named ciupaga (Shepherd's axe). They speak original dialect, make music, playing violins and bagpipes and dance "Zbójnicki". The name of the dance comes from "zbójnik" that means "highland robber". We have problems with palindromes, because we have got a lot of letters as ę ą ó ś ć ż ź in Polish. There is a palindrome without them "Mamuta tu mam" (that means "I have a mammoth here). I took a look at Palindrome at Spanish Wikipedia and I think they are more receptive for foreign languages in Spain. They provide examples with translations. So it should be done, because a palindrom is a sequence of letters that make sense, and this sense is proven by the translation. I don't know Spanish, but may be, one day I will write something for them. Well, I am not a painter nor art photographer. I have never been much interested in palindromes or anagrams, either. I just wanted to show some very well-known examples to our English friends. Your idea to write a book for children is good. I remember, I read a book once with Tautograms that made almost whole alphabet up. As far as I know there are many examples of alliteration in Finnish poetry, so You surely know, what I am talking about. Thanks. I corrected the article at Spanish Wikipedia. As far as I know, there are only two places in Europe, where alliteration is still alive, Iceland and Finland (together with Estonia, I suppose). And the importance of a language depends not on he number of speakers, but on the number of good books written in it. There were not many Greeks, but they wrote a lot and now we all speak using Greek words. The Rome was a small town in Italy in the beginning, but today many languages are written in Latin alphabet. I know problems with non-Latin letters. As far as I know only the English and the Dutch use original Latin alphabet. In Slavic alphabets there are many diacritic signs. I think You should just copy whole sentences and paste them into the text. In Word documents You can use Insert/Symbols function. I took a look at Eesti Wikipedia and added "Stanisław". Today the "ł" sign is pronounced like English letter "w", but some centuries ago it was like Russian hard "l". I remember a Polish film. The hero wrote his name WOJCIECH on a steamy mirror and erased two letters, one on the left and one on the right and it was OJCIEC (father) and he really was to become a father. First, the article about Mirkka Rekola should be a little expanded. Please just rewrite it making sentences with some of the poems listed below the main text, for example Her first book was Vedessä palaa [that means...] that was published in 1954.

Second, of course I know Golem. It is a legend (of Prague) concerned with the belief in strenght of words. A word can set a statue of clay alive. Not many people search for "Mirkka Rekola" (outside Finland, of course) but many people follow links. I know problems with articles not provided with good sources. Blog can be created at (for example) Google. If You have an account at Google, You can do many things, not only gmail. People usually write only stupid things at their blogs and put images of their dogs, cats or girls in bikini (or without). A blog about palindromes would be something different. My grandfather's brother, Kauko Rekola, wrote history books - about Lewenhaupt's journey in Norway and Suvorov (who lost not one single battle, made possible to divide Poland...; he might have had Finnish (Savonian) blood). I am afraid, however, that no arguments can convince them to expand the article over other languages. The second thing. There was a Czech poet Vladimír Holan. He wrote along poem A Night with Hamlet. In this poem he employed a Spoonerism. The scene is following. A child is told to go to a shop and buy some rum for tea (in Czech rum do čaje). He walks and repeats the phrase, so as not to forget it. At last he says čum do ráje (look into the paradise). Palindromader (the word is coined from palinDROM and DROMader) is a very long palindrome. Dromader in Polish means Dromedary (a camel). Because of the fact that one of the best known Polish palindromes is Kobyła ma mały bok (Female horse has a small side), a long palindrome was compared to a longer animal. The term was invented by Stanisław Barańczak (see: Tadeusz Morawski writes about Stanisław Barańczak here.). Palindromaders are popular. In some schools there are contests in writing them. I don't know French but I believe thay are good ones. In English it should be easy to write palindromes because they have only twenty six letters, without all these signs thare are in Polish, Czech or German. Lately I got to know about another play on words. I'm not the judge, it's Your decision and headache. Maybe an interpreter is needed. Alivaltiosihteeri has written very good ones , too, but not so many as Rekola. Their radio program is at it's end, probably 'cause they've lost the competition. And I can understand only Finnish, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Swedish, Danish, Dutch and Estonian languages. Yes, I do understand. Why are the references of palindromes so important? Nobody knows who has invented that "saippuakauppias" is a palindrome, still it has to be mentioned. On other palindrome-sites they do not care (except Swedish) about sources, the only thing that matters is that they're good ones. That is why Finnish literature is not well known in Poland. Finnish books were translated chiefly in 20th century and many translators live or have died recently. Thanks for Your proposal, but I do not know Finnish language at all. I think a translation should be made from original language (only). For a long time translations of - for example - Chinese and Japanese poetry were made not from original text but from its English version. I read about a book of Chinese poems that were translated into French first, then this version was put in Portuguese, these poems were translated into English and sold in America as "pieces of Chinese poetry". You can think about, how much "Chinese poetry" was preserved in such a book. I hope, when Your book becomes popular, a translator with good knowledge of Finnish will read it and put in English, then in German, Polish and so on. Risto, the worst thing for a book is a bad translation. As far as I know William Shakespeare's plays were not popular in Poland in 19th century, because first Polish versions were horrible. I am neither a poet nor a professional translator. Children's poetry is not easier to translate, it is the most difficult. I know about a translator, who was well educated, had a lot of experience and translated some books, but waited until he was sixty years old to begin translating a poem for children. It is already a Featured Article. As for making Wikiquote better, well, that is their problem and I don't hold out much hope for it except as a transcription of out-of-copyright dictionaries of quotations (which could be hosted on WikiSource anyway). There appears to be no useful selection criteria, hence the generally unquotable Tod somehow gets a page there that comprises random rubbish from his many 10s of thousands of written words. At Wikipedia you could decide if templates are used or not. Perhaps the Commons templates should also be reverted? By the way, this article means nothing to me - I just noticed the missing link.
