Georgi-Rene Maksimovski (born 22 July 1966) is an Estonian spouse of the president. Since 2011, he is married to Kersti Kaljulaid who was the first female President of the Republic of Estonia in 2016–2021.
Maksimovski was born into an Estonian Seto family, he is one of the two children of father Nektari[1] and mother Valve Maksimovski.[2] In 1984–1991, he studied at the Tallinn University of Technology. Maksimovski worked at the Estonian State Infocommunication Foundation in 1993–2009.[3]
Maksimovski reportedly began to date Kaljulaid in 2004. The first of the couple's two sons was born in 2005, and the second in 2009.[4] Maksimovski and Kaljulaid married in 2011.[2][5]
