Summary

Description Geumsansa Dangganjiju (Buddhist flagpole supports of Geumsansa Temple) are the two posts used to support the flagpole for a ceremony at the temple. A flag mounted on a stone or iron pole was used to indicate the location of a temple. Assumed to have built at the late 8th century the posts are valued as the only one in Korea with the original base still intact. National Treasure #28.
