
Bill Richardson served as the 30th Governor of New Mexico (2003-2011).
A member of the Democratic Party, Richardson served as the Representative from New Mexico's 3rd congressional district (1983–1997), the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations (1997-1998), and U.S. Secretary of Energy (1998–2001). He unsuccessfully ran for U.S. President in 2008.
