Yuri Nikolayevich Galtsev (Russian: Юрий Николаевич Гальцев; born April 12, 1961, Kurgan) is a Russian entertainer and clownery, TV presenter, parodist, singer, theater, film and television actor. Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (2003).[1] Art Director of the Raikin Variety Theater in Saint Petersburg.
Life
Yuri Galtsev was born on April 12, 1961, in Kurgan, Kurgan Oblast, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union. His father, Nikolai Afanasievich Galtsev (1935–2011), was a director of the reinforced concrete products factory, Honored Builder of the USSR.
In 1988, he graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography, with a degree in Music Speech Estrada, where he made friends with Gennady Vetrov.[2]
