The Daniel C. Muller Carousel (also known as the Midway Carousel) is an antique carousel in Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio.[1][2][3]: 1 It was built in 1912 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.[1][3]: 1–2 The carousel is Cedar Point's oldest operating ride.[1]
Overview

The carousel is 88 feet (27 m) in diameter and features 60 horses and four chariots.[1][2][3]: 1 Its music is provided by a band organ.[1]
History
The carousel was created by Daniel C. Muller in 1912.[1][2] It is one of only two carousels built independently by Muller that still exist, the other being the Forest Park Carousel in Woodhaven, Queens.[4]: 9 Cedar Point purchased the carousel in 1946.[1] On October 20, 1982, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.[1][3]: 2 The carousel is the park's oldest operating ride.[1]
