Can someone please source this! Unreferenced since 2005, and tagged for notability (which seems ridiculous given the topic). Thanks for any help. Best.4meter4 (talk) 05:36, 2 December 2025 (UTC)

The article Mstyora miniature has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Tagged as Unreferenced for 16 years, but actually unsourced for over 20 years. No other language has a reliably sourced article from which to translate. Only 2 brief examples on Google Books, and just lots of drek on the Internet. Nobody would touch it during the Unsourced articles drive. If you can suggest a target for a redirect, please do.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion based on established criteria.
If the proposed deletion has already been carried out, you may request undeletion of the article at any time. Bearian (talk) 22:57, 2 December 2025 (UTC)
- I've just added a source to the article. Alaexis¿question? 08:36, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
Discussion about WikiProject banner templates
For WikiProjects that participate in rating articles, the banners for talk pages usually say something like:
- "This article has been rated as Low-importance on the importance scale."
There is a proposal to change the default wording on the banners to say "priority" instead of "importance". This could affect the template for your group. Please join the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Council#Proposal to update wording on WikiProject banners. Tatiana Grinberg
Found this article - Tatiana Grinberg - it needs to be cleaned up and sources need to be added. Thanks, RossEvans19 (talk) 17:50, 9 December 2025 (UTC)
- Pretty clearly either a copy and paste, or a machine translation. I am not sure whether the source is in public domain. Ymblanter (talk) 21:44, 9 December 2025 (UTC)
- The existing sources don't seem to be independent from the subject of the article btw. Alaexis¿question? 22:27, 9 December 2025 (UTC)
- Ah okay - This area is not my area of expertise at all so I thought I'd put it in an area where people could properly work on it :) RossEvans19 (talk) 23:01, 9 December 2025 (UTC)
I did an initial cleanup.--Altenmann >talk 21:32, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
Redlinks must be handled: there may be mistranslated titles. Wherever possible, I would suggest adding interwikilinks, like I did right now with Altai State Agrarian University.
A true wikignome may also want to convert it into a table "Name/Place/Date/Home page". I suggest a separate column "Home page" to declutter "References" list, which I suggest to reserve for items absent in enwiki and other interwikis. --Altenmann >talk 21:00, 12 December 2025 (UTC)

Category:Privatized companies of Russia
I consider nominating the category dedicated to privatized companies of Russia for deletion. There are categories for country-specific privatization cases; however, the other countries never experienced such a large-scale privatization. This is an unique case that creates a number of issues:
- Nearly all organizations created prior to 1992 should be included in the category.
- The category mostly includes immovable assets (department stores) rather than companies (despite the name).
- The connections between entities that currently exist and the privatized entities may be hard to establish.
Would you rather delete the category or expand it to include every notable privately owned enterprise of Soviet origin? Not a perfectionist (talk) 16:53, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
- Nothing wrong with the category. Its small content is because wikipedians do not care much. Much of the confusion comes from the fact that in Wikipedia all enterprizes are sloppily called "companies". --Altenmann >talk 19:00, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
Is this topic notable? It's been unsourced since its creation and been tagged for notability for some time.4meter4 (talk) 01:41, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
- It's briefly covered in the Great Russian Encyclopedia and other academic sources, but I doubt it ever was a significant scientific interest. I guess it's notable, but the article is bound to be short. Not a perfectionist (talk) 07:45, 20 December 2025 (UTC)

Naming articles on municipalities
How should articles on municipalities (городское/сельское поселение etc.) be named? Currently there aren't many of them, but there is e.g. Sosnovskoye Rural Settlement, Leningrad Oblast. Personally I think calling that one Sosnovo Rural Settlement would make more sense, one reason being that the municipal center is called Sosnovo, not Sosnovskoye. Then again, using the suffixed form is in line with articles on districts, e.g. Priozersky District (as opposed to Priozersk District). -- Kapulakone (talk) 05:14, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
Need help on Olga Kuzmina's Wikipedia article.
There are three red links that lead to Russian Wikipedia articles: State Academy of Slavic Culture, 7 Days (ru), and Kitchen. War for the Hotel. I need an editor who knows more about Russian culture than me just so my newly created Wikipedia page about actress Olga Kuzmina doesn't have these three red links. Yoshiman6464 ♫🥚 02:22, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- There is nothing wrong with an article having red links. --Altenmann >talk 04:02, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Altenmann: Thanks. But I still need some assistance. Right now, I am at least creating an article for Squared Zebra since it received an English dub, and that Kuzmina voiced the titular character.

Conditions (Russia)
Is Conditions (Russia) a hoax article? It was created way back in 2008 and has been tagged since 2012. @Bearian: tagged it with {{hoax}} and a claim that the article is "nonsense". I know bupkis about Russian history, so I'm taking it here. Ten Pound Hammer • (What did I screw up now?) 16:19, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- It appears to have grains of truth mixed in with nonsense, possibly from either a poor translation from Russian, or LLM-generated text. It reads like Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk (opera) on LSD. Bearian (talk) 17:08, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- Not hoax and I removed the tag. YOu may easily see the interwikis. I will take a look. BTW in the history it is clearly stated it is translation from ru. (unfortunately the autror user:Jeremydas is inactive now. --Altenmann >talk 20:40, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- P.S. Yes the English of Jeremydas could be better ("You contrary avoid the reasoning concerning the wikipedia rules and are going on to insist on the same text each occasions"). --Altenmann >talk 20:47, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- P.P.S. <sigh> Nuked. --Altenmann >talk 20:57, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- P.S. @Bearian: I am curious what you think is wrong with Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk (opera). Maybe I can ty and fix a bit. At the first glance, its mediocre quality is not uncommon in neglected corners of wikipedia. --Altenmann >talk --Altenmann >talk 20:44, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- Nothing is wrong with the opera article. Do you know what happens at the end? Bearian (talk) 20:49, 28 January 2026 (UTC)

Requested help at Intercontinental_ballistic_missile
Never done one of these before so please bear with me.
The "Cold War" section of the "History" section of the Intercontinental ballistic missile has a lot of detail on American ICBMs, and not a lot of detail on Soviet ICBMs. I personally don't know a lot about these (at least not enough detail on specific models/development history to edit the section) So consider this an open request for some subject matter expert to come and assist.
