Template editor granted

Your account has been granted the "templateeditor" user permission, allowing you to edit templates and modules that have been protected with template protection. It also allows you to bypass the title blacklist, giving you the ability to create and edit editnotices. Before you use this user right, please read Wikipedia:Template editor and make sure you understand its contents. In particular, you should read the section on wise template editing and the criteria for revocation.
You can use this user right to perform maintenance, answer edit requests, and make any other simple and generally uncontroversial edits to templates, modules, and edinotices. You can also use it to enact more complex or controversial edits, after those edits are first made to a test sandbox, and their technical reliability as well as their consensus among other informed editors has been established. If you are willing to process edit requests on templates and modules, keep in mind that you are taking responsibility to ensure the edits have consensus and are technically sound.
This user right gives you access to some of Wikipedia's most important templates and modules; it is critical that you edit them wisely and that you only make edits that are backed up by consensus. It is also very important that no one else be allowed to access your account, so you should consider taking a few moments to secure your password.
If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.
If you were granted the permission on a temporary basis you will need to re-apply for the permission a few days before it expires including in your request a permalink to the discussion where it was granted and a {{Reply to}} for the administrator who granted the permission. You can find the permalink in your rights log.

Chinese History: A New Manual
Chinese History: A New Manual. The article I was revising is based on the 6th edition (2022). Because a 7th edition was published in 2025, I am in the process of updating the article based on the contents of the new edition. My updates were written by me. I do not use LLMs! Jimmy Welch (talk) 04:54, 8 February 2026 (UTC)
Ok. Then maybe your phrasing needs work. Sumanuil. (talk to me) 06:34, 8 February 2026 (UTC)
My mistake
Feel free to hit me with a trout for this one next time Electricmemory (talk) 20:07, 25 February 2026 (UTC)
Was that you on Minecraft Wiki?
I was curious because I've seen edits there from the same username; see https://minecraft.wiki/w/Special:Contributions/Sumanuil - although no activity for the last couple of months.
I'm an admin there, as well as here. And at the moment I'm really frustrated that Minecraft Bedrock Edition refuses to run. The launcher starts it, a black screen opens, and then closes, and that's it. Uninstalling and reinstalling fixed it for one day but then it stopped working again. ~Anachronist (who / me) (talk) 02:52, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
Yes, that is me. I haven't been having that issue. Just some difficultly getting my classic skin to load. Although I don't bother with the launcher. Once the game is installed, the launcher is superfluous. Try running Bedrock directly from a shortcut. Sumanuil. (talk to me) 03:01, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
- The problem is that the installation folder is no longer in "Program Files" but in "C:\Xbox games", not the same place it used to be, and there is no longer any choice about installing the launcher. I did try to find the executable and run it directly (it wasn't a straightforward path), and the launcher was bypassed but it still opened as a black window that closed eventually by itself. I guess I'll have to ask for help on Reddit.
- Even stranger, the last time I got it to work it showed me all my previously-saved worlds, but those no longer existed in the expected path. I have no idea where they are stored. I may do a full reset and lose them all, which is a shame because I have an island survival world that I've been playing in Hard mode since before the pandemic started 7 years ago. ~Anachronist (who / me) (talk) 03:31, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
- By the way, I notice you didn't have the rollback user right, so I just granted it. You don't have to use it, but it's there if you ever need the convenience of quickly reverting obvious vandalism. ~Anachronist (who / me) (talk) 04:00, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
