How can I make a Wikipedia page on a character --SanctaDemeterMalaina (talk) 03:02, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
- Generally, articles for character in specific fictional universe doesn't had the relevant citations outside the work to support it.
- If you really want to write about characters of your choice; (open a new section in relevant movie or series articles with ==Characters== in source editing method)eg: 1. Go to the movie article as loginn_ed to your account.
- 2.On the top menu ;you can see pencil icon -click it to edit the page.
- 3.convert to source editing, after the section finishes (plot, cast, reception such as) where you think to start character section ;start with the above saying(==character==)and below start your details and before publishing attach relevant source to it and preview it for any mistake.1
- If you learn to master it ;go through help pages in wikipedia.[4] Spbvj (talk) 15:15, 25 June 2025 (UTC)

How do I quickly know what and how to fix something? --Ridocal32 (talk) 22:52, 11 October 2025 (UTC)
- If you here pointing out editing: go through guidelines and don't add anything if you not having reliable source of proof. You need basic grammer and spellings in english to edit in english if you're not learnt english.
In ths music group;citation are limited and if you have any link you can add to support information. Some of the data itself are depicted in such a way in source:so you can change it to third person point of view for better usage.
- You can use it in your known language for better understand if there are error or mistake.
- Otherwise; Use search engines or wikipedia souces to double check the data on the specific matter frkm time to time. Spbvj (talk) 14:34, 13 October 2025 (UTC)
Question from Squiddonaut (17:27, 14 October 2025)
Hello! I have a question as a new Wikipedia editor. Many stub articles I see in my field (astrophysics) could be improved by including basic trigonometric calculations and galactic coordinate mapping to quantify the distance between various objects. However, I am not sure how to cite these changes properly as while they are very easily verifiable by anyone with a calculator they are not able to be cited from an academic article, as scientific research on some of these celestial objects is nil. Thank you! --Squiddonaut (talk) 17:27, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
- As a Wikipedia editor, you cannot include your own calculations, even if they are simple, because this violates the policy against "No original research". All content added to Wikipedia must be verifiable by citing reliable, published sources.
- If the information is not in a reliable, published source, it should not be in the article, no matter how simple or verifiable the calculation seems to you.
- Search the NASA/IPAC Extragalactic Database (NED) or the SIMBAD astronomical database, which are well-regarded sources for astronomical data.
You can suggest the addition on the talk page, explain the calculation, and ask if any other editors know of a source that confirms the data. This might prompt a more experienced editor to find a suitable source or agree that the information is currently unsourceable.
- Consider contributing to a different project. For eg, on the Wikimedia Foundation's Wikiversity project, original research and personal calculations are permitted in certain contexts. However, this is not appropriate for the Wikipedia encyclopedia. Spbvj (talk) 01:29, 15 October 2025 (UTC)

Question from Yerae (11:44, 21 December 2025)
Hello, can I coin the word "Ndiconomics"?
Ndiconomics is a neologism used primarily in Kenyan online discourse and political commentary to describe economic theories, policies, and analyses associated with economist David Ndii. The term is frequently employed in a derogatory manner to critique what critics perceive as poorly reasoned, unscientific, or ineffective economic thinking, particularly in the context of Ndii's advisory role to the Kenyan government under President William Ruto. It draws parallels to portmanteau economic terms like "Reaganomics" or "Abenomics", but often carries a satirical or dismissive connotation, highlighting alleged contradictions between proclaimed economic growth and real-world hardships such as rising fuel prices, declining agricultural revenues, and increased taxation burdens.
Proponents of Ndii's ideas, however, view his approach as pragmatic and focused on bottom-up development, emphasising fiscal discipline and market-driven solutions. --Yerae (talk) 11:44, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
- you can't do that??!
- because ,generally all of ours are kind to avoid neologism in wikipedia.if you have verifiabile and notable source for you to use
- then no problem.but, please use generalised word for clear context of meaning and it avoids bias and conflicts. Spbvj (talk) 06:05, 22 December 2025 (UTC)
