Question from Lomindi (19:53, 30 December 2025)
Hi, I requested for an edit and addition to the article "Human Rights in South Sudan" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_rights_in_South_Sudan
It is to add a new section with contents to the article "ACHPR Rulings on South Sudan". How long will the addition be reflected in the article?
Best, Lomindi --Lomindi (talk) 19:53, 30 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hello @Lomindi. It looks like you did make the edit request, but you did not add any information regarding what the edit should add or delete. You should edit the request accordingly to include that information. Such requests usually take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours depending on how many people are watching the edit requests page. PhoenixCaelestis ‣ Talk // Contributions 20:20, 30 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hello,
- Below is the proposed addition to the article. I included in the "Talk" page.
- Here it how I submitted:

- Hello @PhoenixCaelestis you are right. My addition was missing. I think using a smartphone is to blame for this, and I apologize to you. I have just completed the editing using my MacBook, and it seems to have worked well. Can you check the link again to see the addition and advice accordingly? This is the link for the original article containing my request for addition of a new section and contents: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_rights_in_South_Sudan Lomindi (talk) 04:59, 31 December 2025 (UTC)
- It's fine @Lomindi, smartphone editing can be finicky. I took the liberty of fixing your header, as it appeared under a different message on the talk page. PhoenixCaelestis ‣ Talk // Contributions 13:46, 31 December 2025 (UTC)

Question from Jlibbra (19:21, 1 January 2026)
Hello - I am trying to submit a draft article named "New Generation of Power". I submitted it to the "Talk" page, but I have a feeling that it is the wrong place on Wikipedia. Can I get instructions on how to draft and submit an article to begin the review process? --Jlibbra (talk) 19:21, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Jlibbra. Looks like it's in a sandbox now. You should focus on fixing the formatting and references before submitting it for review. PhoenixCaelestis ‣ Talk // Contributions 20:08, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- Okay, thank you. How do I know what needs to be fixed? Is it marked up? To be honest, I am not sure how to find the sandbox. Is that where I submitted the article? Jlibbra (talk) 13:27, 4 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Jlibbra, thanks for reaching back out. You can find the draft at User:Jlibbra/sandbox. It does not appear to be marked up whatsoever. No links, sources are cited weirdly, etc. etc. If you want an example article, I'd check out one of our featured articles. These articles are of the highest standard on Wikipedia and have proper formatting, properly formatted references, etc. And yes, the sandbox is where you'll be submitting your article. There's a template you should put on the top of the page to submit it when you're ready. Phoenix ‣ Talk // Contributions 19:13, 4 January 2026 (UTC)
- Okay, thank you! Jlibbra (talk) 19:56, 4 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Phoenix - I believe I have properly cited the sources now, however, please let me know if you have any suggestions. Can you guide me to the next step to getting the article published? Anything else I need to do? Jlibbra (talk) 14:25, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Jlibbra, this user has been blocked so they won't be able to answer your question. You can either approach another mentor or ask for help at the Wikipedia:Teahouse. Blue Sonnet (talk) 18:16, 10 January 2026 (UTC)

@jpgordon. Sure.
Over the past several months, yes. I have operated a series of seventeen accounts. I.. I think I saw something in a YouTube video one day that was some iceberg or something related to Wikipedia "cryptids" and mysteries. I was bored and decided to make another account. Kommandant-Brot. Partially wanted to experience the feeling of being a new user again.
Somewhere along that line I decided it would be a good idea to make more. And edit different things I was interested in, and explore some new topics, and whatnot. I.. the only way I can really explain it in a way that I think makes sense is that I wanted adventure. I wanted to try something new and exciting. I don't know why I kept doing it really. Should've stopped before hitting "Create account" on the first one, but I didn't for whatever reason. I wanted to edit in other areas without controversy being taken to this account for some reason. At a certain point I got in too deep and figured it would be too suspicious if all these accounts stopped editing at once. Well, look at how hard karma hits and hurts you.
I am deeply sorry. If I could go back and change past me's decisions, I absolutely would. I want to contribute here and I like contributing here. But now I understand I have broken the community's trust and the trust of this site's leadership. I thought I could be a helpful and kind contributor here, editing in areas that interested me, but I guess not. All of the accounts present in the category are my accounts that were created to edit various topics.
I am willing to pursue the standard offer if that is something I am permitted to do. Six months of complete inactivity, then only editing on User:Phoenix. I'm willing to restrict it further, only editing in ship-related topics if that's something you so request.
I am an immature bitch whose misfortunes have caught up to her. And now I pay the price. For my past actions I can only say that I am greatly sorry. I can't do anything else. I resign myself to the fate of the Wikipedia Gods. Phoenix ‣ Talk // Contributions 00:27, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
- Well, when you make it back into good standing, come help out at SPI. We have more cryptids than we know what to do with. In the meantime, simple-wiki always needs some help. -- asilvering (talk) 00:52, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
- Aww man, looks like you can't trust anyone these days. :(
- Does this mean I inherit getting Dione to FA? GGOTCC 00:55, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
- @GGOTCC If it gets past A-class (no idea if it does), then do what you think is right. Phoenix ‣ Talk // Contributions 00:57, 6 January 2026 (UTC)

- @GGOTCC If it gets past A-class (no idea if it does), then do what you think is right. Phoenix ‣ Talk // Contributions 00:57, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
- Wish I had the time to help at SPI but I'm always busy with one thing or another, I can hardly keep my stuff straight.
- Brief question for you @Asilvering. I have two GAs for nomination, Sinking of U-85 and Girls' Last Tour, as well as an A-class nomination in the form of USCGC Dione. Do these automatically fail due to my block, or do they proceed like normal save for my ability to edit and respond? Willing to let them fail, then edit and re-nom after returning, but I'm unsure of the exact procedure. Phoenix ‣ Talk // Contributions 00:57, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
- I'd take Dione and maybe U-85 off your hands. GGOTCC 01:00, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
- Get Dione through and leave her. The GA noms can be taken off. Phoenix ‣ Talk // Contributions 01:06, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
- They don't auto-fail. The reviewer would be expected to review as normal, and only fail it if it doesn't meet the criteria. Be really, really careful about getting other editors in trouble for proxy editing for you - if someone else takes over one of the reviews to help get it through GA, my advice is to act as though you're topic-banned and not speak about it at all. -- asilvering (talk) 01:14, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
- I will do so. GGOTCC may see Dione through the rest of her A-class review, then stop there. If she passes, great. If she fails, okay. The two GAs can be delisted. This is my "will" for the next unknown however long, probably six months and likely longer.
- Thanks, you guys. Sorry I fucked up. Hopefully your day ends a little better than mine. That's Pheonix, signing off until 5 July 2026 at the very earliest. ∠('-') Phoenix ‣ Talk // Contributions 01:18, 6 January 2026 (UTC)

- I'm planning to relist Girls' Last Tour [which, for anyone watching this talk page, I extensively peer reviewed] under a new nom, and I promise I'll do my best to get it to GA class. If it passes, then feel free to take credit as a retroactive co-nominator when you choose to return. Sorry to see this all happened, not sure what to say but for what it's worth I've had a positive opinion of our interactions together. Crestfalling (talk/contribs) 01:55, 7 January 2026 (UTC)

Attempts to deceive
Above, you have written a lovely little story about how you are really a nice person, and the sockpuppetry wasn't malicious, "nor have [you] made edits with the intent to mislead". Creating multiple accounts was just a harmless game, for your own amusement. Very sweet and innocent. However, the truth is very different. You have at least once used more than one account to express the same opinion in a deletion discussion; that was a deliberate attempt to give the deceitful impression that there was independent support for your view. You have likewise done the same on a talk page where you made a request for a protected edit; again, a deliberate attempt to deceive in order to give the dishonest impression of independent support. In order to support the misleading impression of being different people you have used several tricks, such as conducting conversations with yourself, and in different accounts giving your place of birth as Leningrad, Kaliningrad Oblast, Kraków, Delaware, Berlin, and Nitra. No, your use of sockpuppets was not an innocent bit of harmless fun, and it is absolutely not true that you did not have "the intent to mislead". JBW (talk) 00:24, 7 January 2026 (UTC)
- To be fair, the "nor have I made edits with the intent to mislead" statement was made before the story, when they were still denying using socks at all. LordCollaboration (talk) 01:34, 7 January 2026 (UTC)
Since writing the message above, I have discovered further examples of your deliberate attempts to deceive. I have also found use of at least one account for blatant vandalism while other accounts were playing the nice guy. All of these things (multiple votes in deletion discussions, having conversations with oneself, lying about one's background on one's user page, use of good-hand/bad-hand accounts) are absolutely classic examples of the ways that sockpuppeteers maliciously abuse multiple accounts. It happens all the time. JBW (talk) 00:45, 7 January 2026 (UTC)
