Arbitration

  • Due to the result of a recent motion, a rough consensus of administrators at the arbitration enforcement noticeboard may impose an expanded topic ban on Israel, Israelis, Jews, Judaism, Palestine, Palestinians, Islam, and/or Arabs, if an editor's Arab-Israeli conflict topic ban is determined to be insufficient to prevent disruption. At least one diff per area expanded into should be cited.

Rcats

I have a question about your choice or Rcats for three of the redirects that were implicated in the recently closed move at Lo Que Le Pasó a Hawaii. Please note, this is not intended as a challenge. I'm fairly new to Rcats and don't always grasp the fine distinctions between similar categories. You tagged Lo que le Pasó a HawaiiLo que le Pasó a Hawaii as {{R from miscapitalization}}. This one makes sense to me, as this styling is plainly incorrect by both Spanish and English conventions. However, you tagged both Lo Que Le Pasó A HawaiiLo Que Le Pasó A Hawaii and Lo Que Le Paso A HawaiiLo Que Le Paso A Hawaii as {{R from modification}}. I would think {{R from miscapitalization}} or {{R from other capitalization}} apply to both of these. Perhaps 'other' is better because some style guides might capitalize 'A' so 'miscapitalization' may be an overstatement. —Myceteae🍄‍🟫 (talk) 22:15, 11 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hi editor Myceteae, and thank you for your question! I was there once. In the beginning I liked to work on redirects and their sorting to maintenance categories. And I made a lot of mistakes back then. In this particular case I wobbled between miscap and other cap. When that happens I land on R from modification until a clear choice comes to me. When that happens I will go back and sort to a more specific category. Please feel free to go ahead with that if you think one category best describes the redirects over another. Thanks again! Makes sense. 'R from modification' is something of a catch-all when the particular stylistic variance doesn't fit neatly into a more specific category or is unclear to the editor. I may change these. Thank you for providing insight into these categories. You are always so generous with your explanations. Cheers! —Myceteae🍄‍🟫 (talk) 15:38, 12 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Request – Greek Super Cup

Good morning. The discussion here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Greek_Super_Cup_2025#Requested_move_9_January_2026 is over. You could, based on your previous contribution https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Greek_Super_Cup_2025&action=history please restore the article to its previous name, namely 2025 Greek Football Super Cup to be consistent with the main article Greek Football Super Cup. I tried to do it but I couldn't. Thank you in advance. Πούμα (talk) 07:29, 13 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Πούμα: thank you very much for coming to my talk page! We see presently in that formal move request that the closure of "no consensus" has been vacated by an administrator. So I regret that no further action to change the page title can be taken at this time. The request has been relisted and should continue for seven days after that. Thanks again! P.I. Ellsworth , ed. – welcome! – 08:47, 13 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I thank you for your kindness. Be well. Unfortunately, I will be leaving Wikipedia. I believe that a dirty game was played and I have no place in it. Thank you very much. Πούμα (talk) 09:45, 13 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
So sorry you think you have to leave WP, editor Πούμα. I felt the same way soon after I registered, and it was also because of a move request. But I stuck around, and I think I've made a few really good contributions since then. Well, leave or stay, it's entirely up to you. Here's hoping you stay and help us build this encyclopedia. Best of everything to you and yours! P.I. Ellsworth , ed. – welcome! – 10:02, 13 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Good morning and sorry to bother you again. It's been 8 days since HurricaneZeta made the re-registration https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Closure_requests#Requested_moves ( Relisted HurricaneZetaC 23:05, 11 February 2026 (UTC)). I think the discussion can be closed, since nothing has changed. You are not involved in the discussion, so if you wish, you can do so. I want to edit the article further, but I can't since this is still pending. Thank you.--Πούμα (talk) 06:45, 19 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
To editor Πούμα: glad to see you're still alive and kickin'! I'll look into it, but I can't give you any guarantees. Thanks again for coming to my talk page! P.I. Ellsworth , ed. – welcome! – 05:21, 20 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Good morning. I've worked too hard on this article to give up so easily. I'll only die if I lose. Thank you for answering me. Πούμα (talk) 05:38, 20 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@Πούμα: Please, it is NOT about winning or losing. Find some other articles to improve if this Greek Super Cup article is causing you too much grief. Plenty of things to find to do to improve Greek articles at WP:WikiProject Greece or football articles at WP:WikiProject Football for example. Matilda Maniac (talk) 09:08, 20 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
You are right. I didn't mean it that way. I simply wanted the truth to be reflected. Many mistakes have been made (see the Italian Super Cup, where with the logic of those who disagree with me, the 2023-24 season was left empty). It is a matter of principle and respect for institutions. Anyway. I would personally like to thank you very much, because even though you often argued with me, you tried to resolve the issue.
I also thank the host of this page for the effort he put in. I hope to become a good and useful editor for Wikipedia. Πούμα (talk) 10:09, 20 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
