Moneytrees' Money Tree

Requesting your experience

Hi Moneytrees, regarding this [1] SPI, I believe a user[2] that has recently been editing People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran exhibits similar characteristics to the documented behavior in this case. Notably: gnomery around academics, potential wholesale translation of wiki pages, minor edits en masse (such as this bizarre sequence [3][4][5][6][7], repeated across other articles), and citing sources or providing quotes of questionable relevance (I responded to one instance of this here:[8])

This is just a hunch I developed after skimming through some of the talk archives, so I thought I would let you know instead of opening an investigation myself, given your experience tracking these behavioral patterns. DiodotusNicator (talk) 09:30, 31 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@DiodotusNicator Yes, a few other functionaries have noted issues with that account. They're blocked now. Moneytrees🏝️(Talk) 20:03, 31 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. DiodotusNicator (talk) 20:43, 31 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again @Moneytrees, I have found myself in a dispute on another WP:CT/IRP talk page with an editor exhibiting similar characteristics. They don't seem to write in the same way as PatriceON so I am hesitant to believe they are part of the same sock ring, but nonetheless I think a checkuser is warranted given:

Tamás Vásáry today, who began his career with a Mozart concerto at age 8. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 23:10, 12 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Today something new: a 100th birthday of someone alive, György Kurtág! In 2004 I was there when he and his wife played for the Rheingau Musik Festival where he was the featured composer. They played as the 2019 DYK said, on an upright piano, - listen, the last piece was the same. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:01, 19 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Today's main page features four biographies I helped to bring there, two women and two men, three opera singers (one pictured) and an actor, - a record for me, I believe ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:51, 24 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
