Editor conflict
I have been adding more current photos I’ve taken of subjects and places in Sheboygan but User:Mrschimpf has reverted several of those edits, falsely claiming I’m some such of competitor in local media in Sheboygan which I don’t own any interests in media publishing in Sheboygan County. In one edit on Shoreline Metro, my photo of a bus in service was removed because he claimed permissions were questionable and the photo was posed. Then there is the challenge of updating the photo on Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Asher Heimermann (talk

You declined this draft, but I made changes to it that I think solved the initial issue. If you could take another look and give me some feedback I would be appreciative. Thanks for your time. WUH34 (talk) 4:45, 24 March 2022 (UTC)
help with vandalism
Since November 16, 2022, a user who is not logged in, just identified by their IP address has been adding information to the San Antonio FC page that has no sources to back it up with. Specifically they are adding a player to the roster when there is no evidence on the internet, either by the club, league, or anywhere else that this transaction has occurred. I have undone the edit multiple times but they keep adding it back. Please assist.
1/13/23 - The vandalism is occurring again. Would you be able to ban the IP addresses that are adding the incorrect information? TYIA

Issue has been taken care of.

Greetings. Would you please consider removing semi protection for Robert B. Dickey? Other than some bot edits it hasn't been edited in a few years. I came across it using Random Article. Rockfang (talk) 21:02, 22 January 2025 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:2034 in North American sport

A tag has been placed on Category:2034 in North American sport indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 20:29, 25 January 2025 (UTC)
My Sandbox
Hello, would you mind removing the deletion notice from my sandbox now that the material you flagged is gone? Thanks GmTbNk2304 (talk) 01:04, 30 January 2025 (UTC)
- That's not how things work. The template cannot be removed until the discussion is closed, and the discussion cannot be closed until there's a consensus to close it. Bearcat (talk) 01:25, 30 January 2025 (UTC)
- Ok, I'm going to move on the deletion page that the discussion be closed since there is no more material to discuss. Forgive me as I'm not as familiar with the rules. GmTbNk2304 (talk) 01:59, 30 January 2025 (UTC)
- It's not for you to decide, either. It's for the participants in the discussion to decide. Bearcat (talk) 02:05, 30 January 2025 (UTC)
- All I did was ask for the participants to reconsider their decision now that the material is gone. I really don't see what there is to discuss anymore now that the material is gone. GmTbNk2304 (talk) 23:14, 30 January 2025 (UTC)
- And I don't see what purpose the page even serves at all anymore if it's just a straight-up copy of the existing article with all of the disputed alternate history content removed from it, but YMMV Bearcat (talk) 23:16, 30 January 2025 (UTC)
- I should clarify, I deleted all of the material. It's just a blank sandbox, I'm waiting to use it again. GmTbNk2304 (talk) 23:21, 30 January 2025 (UTC)

Draft categories
Hi, per WP:DRAFTNOCAT, wouldn't it be better to wrap categories in the draft categories template rather than deleting them entirely? Electricmemory (talk) 20:13, 9 February 2025 (UTC)
- Please do this, so the categories don't have to be added back when the page is moved to mainspace Electricmemory (talk) 20:20, 9 February 2025 (UTC)
- Bearcat Indeed, just deleting categories from draft articles is disruptive behaviour, please stop doing that. Marbe166 (talk) 08:20, 12 February 2025 (UTC)
New Article
Howdy neighbour! I just finished writing a page over in my sandbox about a popular chain of candy stores based in Nova Scotia. I don't feel it necessary to put it through AfC but I did want to get a second opinion before I put it out to the world, and your username comes across my screen fairly often, so I thought of you. I've been questioning whether I should include the part about the labour concerns as reported by The Coast; I was aiming to include every bit of information I could find, but whether or not The Coast qualifies as a reliable source could be debatable. I would greatly appreciate it if you would take a look and provide your feedback. Cheers. Kylemahar902 (talk) 12:45, 10 February 2025 (UTC)
Consider unsalting to redirect to List of county executives of Maryland § Anne Arundel (potentially protecting the redirect). Yes, I could do this myself, but I don't want to unilaterally overturn your salt. I wouldn't be surprised if he passes GNG at this point, but I am not seeking to open that can of worms. charlotte 👸♥ 03:20, 12 February 2025 (UTC)

NUFAN/AFC CREWE
Hey buddy, I’ve tried to create a wiki page for the club AFC Crewe owned by the organisation NUFAN article here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nufan but there is an administrator called Giant Snowman who persistently removes and at one point tried to SALT the article.
I want to know your opinion on the matter if the organisation is deemed acceptable by Wikipedia why is the club it owns not. All of the notability for the club is the same as the organisation and the organisation is acceptable.
Are you able to help me with this matter please? Iblethebible (talk) 21:17, 13 February 2025 (UTC)
- I have not deleted the article, just gave my opinion on its nobility at 2 AFDs. Repeatedly creating the same article is disruptive. GiantSnowman 13:52, 15 February 2025 (UTC)
- I do apologise creating an article on something when what I perceived to be an increase in notability arose is not disruption though. Iblethebible (talk) 18:10, 15 February 2025 (UTC)
Poop
I'm sure the community would love to open the 15th discussion about the poop category again, and I'm just petty enough to see it through, or maybe you can fuck off my userpage, yes? -- Ned Scott 11:20, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
- Bearcat, as someone who edits User pages occasionally and with some trepidation, I always find it helpful to link to policies or guidelines that I am using to justify possibly contested or confusing edits, especially when multiple guidelines or policies interact. Saying "yes it is" as an edit summary is less helpful than saying something like "Remove nonexistent category per WP:REDNOT." – Jonesey95 (talk) 20:38, 18 February 2025 (UTC)

Edit war

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. its their user page stop fucking with it •Cyberwolf•talk? 15:59, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
