Your Rejection of My ArtNet Edits
What is your connection to Artnet? Your extensive re-writing of the ArtNet page last year, coincidentally after the company went private, and your zealously guarding your sanitized version of the company's history would suggest that perhaps you may have more than a casual outside observer's interest. - @TheBusinessOfArt Not gonna lie, this is an extremely funny accusation. I have no connection to Artnet. Nor am I "zealously guarding" anything. I reverted your edits which were cited to a literal advertisement that you photographed and uploaded to Commons; if you don't see why that doesn't pass muster as a source on Wikipedia, you need to learn how to edit here.
- I did not "sanitize" the Artnet article. I majorly expanded it with independent sourcing, removed promotional content sourced to Artnet itself, and generally improved it quite a lot, if I do say so myself. I actually also added a range of information that does not look good for the company at all, in its current or previous iterations, including alleged corporate malfeasance, sexual misconduct by employees, and infighting among investors and company leadership.
- I've spent the past few months editing a range of articles about art media, including ARTnews and Art in America, Artnet was just the latest one I decided to have a crack at. Go check the tape.
- You appeared out of nowhere, days after the literal founder of the company showed up here trying to edit the article in similar ways. I honestly assumed you were Pierre Sernet operating under a new username, which is why I threw a Conflict of Interest warning on your page for good measure. 19h00s (talk) 22:23, 22 February 2026 (UTC)
- Just for good measure, you can literally compare the article side-by-side from before I started working on to now. This is the old version of the article; and here is the current version. Please, tell me how I "sanitized" it. Be specific. 19h00s (talk) 22:36, 22 February 2026 (UTC)
