Good articles
Hello, and welcome to my user page!
I am the one and only TheTechie! I joined 4 years ago (or 1792 days), and have been editing Wikipedia since. I have made too many edits to count to the English Wikipedia (across all namespaces, not just article namespace). If you need to contact me regarding Wikipedia, please leave me a message on my talk page; this can be easily done by clicking the "talk" link on the top and starting a new section.
Alternative accounts and redirects
- User:Thetechie and User:The Techie redirect here.
- ZeTechie (born Mseingth): An alternative account created as a doppelganger when I was under my old username. Renamed on 2025-01-06 to a new username very similar to my current username. See user page for more details.
- AuroraTheTechie, another doppelganger using the name I wish to go by on Wikipedia, well, besides my username.
- TheTechie-alt and TheTechie-mobile, two alternative accounts. The first is for testing and when I don't want to do anything that I usually do. The second is for, obviously, mobile usage.
Note that any of my accounts minus doppelgangers may edit from different countries while traveling (unlikely to be any other one than my mobile account though). So if a CheckUser sees behavior like this, that's why. Though if in doubt, leave me a message on my talk page.
About me
Like my username suggests, I am a techie, a person who really likes technology. As such, this is what I'm interested in editing in usually.
What techie stuff do I do in my free time
Linux
I actually used to have an old HP with Linux on it. Funny story, I accidentally wiped Windows when trying to install Ubuntu (which used to work but doesn't on that specific hardware). So I had no choice, and installed Linux Mint, which worked. I am loving it! Usually, I try out different desktop environments/distros (I used to have Mint, Ubuntu (later replaced by Fedora), and Kubuntu (later replaced by MX) installed).
On my new HP, I currently dual boot vanilla Arch Linux (with KDE) with Windows 11 (for compatibility reasons).
Coding
I also know some coding and do some in my free time. I know Python the most, some HTML/CSS/JS (not JQuery though), and a little bit of C#, C, and assembly code.
What does she-they mean?
Good question! It just means that I'm okay with you addressing me by either she/her or they/them pronouns. You are free to use any of these pronouns to refer to me, and are allowed to switch mid-sentence (as I know some do this).
(Note: the reason this section has a dash and not a slash is to not mess up one of my page notes.)
Thanks received
Some kind people have thanked me for the edits I've made on Wikipedia. There are two places to view this appreciation: One is this page (where I manually move barnstars, WikiLove, etc from my talk page) and here.
