History
This station was originally planned to be a station on the initial section of Nanhai Tram Line 1,[4] but it was later postponed to the remaining section due to the addition of Wenhanhu Park (Ji Hua Laboratory) station between here and Sanshanxinchengbei station. The initial section has therefore also been shortened from this station to Sanshanxinchengbei. On 29 November 2022, the station was opened with the opening of the remaining section of Nanhai Tram Line 1.[2]
Future development
The station is planned to have an interchange with Foshan Metro Line 4, and there are reserved transfer nodes visible on the platforms of Nanhai Tram Line 1.[5]
