Nový Tekov (Hungarian: Újbars) is an old village and municipality in the Levice District in the Nitra Region of Slovakia.

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1320.

The municipality lies at an altitude of 171 metres (561 ft)^[3] and covers an area of 29.70 km² (11.47 sq mi) (2024).^[4]

It has a population of 935 people (31 December 2024).^[6]

In year 2021 was 897 people by ethnicity 796 as Slovak, 55 as Not found out, 55 as Hungarian, 5 as Czech, 2 as Other, 1 as Italian, 1 as Rusyn and 1 as Austrian.
