Lee Myung-jae (Korean: 이명재; Hanja: 李明載; born 4 November 1993) is a South Korean footballer who plays as a left-back for EFL League One club Birmingham City and the South Korea national team.[1]
Club career
Ulsan HD
Lee joined Ulsan Hyundai in 2014 and made his league debut against Incheon United on 23 March 2014. He was loaned to Albirex Niigata on 24 June 2014.
Birmingham City
On 3 February 2025, after 11 years at Ulsan HD, Lee signed on a free transfer for EFL League One team Birmingham City until the end of the 2024-25 season, [2] joining South Korean compatriot Paik Seung-ho at the club.
International career
Lee was a member of the South Korea national U-20 team for the 2014 Toulon Tournament.
Lee made his debut for the senior South Korea national team on 21 March 2024 in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Thailand.[3]
In the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier match against Iraq on October 15, 2024, Lee Myung-jae completely deceived the opponent and assisted Lee Jae-seong's headed goal with an accurate cross.[4]
