Publication history
In July 2024, it was reported that Jeff Lemire would be writing a comic in the as of then rumored Absolute Universe.[2] In San-Diego Comic Con, it was revealed that Jeff Lemire and Nick Robles would be the creative team for Absolute Flash, and that it would begin publication in March 2025.[3]
Lemire chose to write Flash because of a lack of a teenage perspective from the original catalog, having a much more light tone than the rest of the Absolute Universe titles, as well as Lemire having grown with Wally and favoring him.[4]
