Željko Mitrović (born 31 May 1967) is a Serbian businessman and media executive. He is the founder and CEO of Pink Media Group.

Career

In 1988, Mitrović founded one of Serbia's first music recording studios. He opened a radio station in 1993, followed by TV Pink station in 1994.[1] Later on, Mitrović founded the music publishing house City Records, which has over 500 performers under its label.[citation needed] After launching the satellite program, Mitrović launched TV Pink Montenegro in 2002 and Pink BiH, in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2003.[citation needed]

Mitrović included a subsidiary in the Pink International Company: the PFI—Pink Films International—a film production complex catering to blockbusters and TV show producers. In May 2008, the Los Angeles Times conducted an interview with Mitrović and wrote about his new project, a 452,000 square feet (42,000 m2) film studio complex.[2]

In 2004, Mitrović founded a business jet airline Air Pink, one of seven companies under Pink Media Group. They extended its 11-airplane fleet with three new Cessna XLS+ aircraft. It specializes in VIP and corporate aviation services.[citation needed]

Mitrović established the Pink Digital Company, a subsidiary of the Pink Media Group to bridge the gap between innovative digital creative concepts, products, and technologies. The company's Pink Digital Media System has developed applications such as Pink.rs and KlikTV.[citation needed]

Honors and awards

In 2006, the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce (BCC) awarded Mitrović the 'Manager of the Year' title for his role in the growth and development of the Pink Media Group, establishing it as one of the most influential media and entertainment businesses in Southeast Europe.[3][4][5] In 2012, Mitrović was awarded by The Man magazine in the category "self-made man".[citation needed] In 2014, the Bráca Karić foundation awarded Mitrović for his achievements in the sphere of the media, television and film production.[citation needed] In 2015, Mitrović received the "Golden Chain" award from the Cultural and Educational Community of Belgrade for his lasting contribution to culture.[citation needed]
