Lanier County High School is an American public, four-year secondary education institution located in Lakeland, Georgia. It is the sole high school in the Lanier County School District and serves locally grades 9 through 12 and students aged 12-18. As of the 2023-2024 academic year, the school has an enrollment of approximately 500 students, with a student-teacher ratio of 14.55:1. The schools' primary LMS is via PowerSchool SIS for both educators and students. Its local feeder school is Lanier County middle school.
History
Lanier County itself was established on August 7, 1920 and Lanier Country High School was likely established around the same time.
Academics and Study Body
The school offers a variety of academic programs, including Advanced Placement (AP) courses, career and technical education, and special education services. It aims to equally prepare students for post-secondary education and the workforce.
The student body is diverse, 59.5% White, 26% Black, 8.5% Hispanic/Latino, 0.9% Asian/Pacific Islander, and 4.8% identifying as two or more races.
In terms of academic performance, 35% of students have achieved proficiency in mathematics, 51% in reading, and 47% in science. The school boasts a graduation rate of 92%.

The school's athletic teams are known as the Bulldogs. Lanier County High School competes in the Georgia High School Association (GHSA).
