This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on March 7, 2025.
Donut President
- Donut President → John F. Kennedy (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
i don't think people seriously refer to John F. Kennedy as the "Donut President" (and google seems to back me up?) Duckmather (talk) 22:05, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- Keep Ich bin ein Berliner#Urban legend explains this- and there are plenty of continuing coverage if you search "Donut President JFK". Joseph2302 (talk) 08:50, 8 March 2025 (UTC)
- Delete If you search donut president (no quotes), sure, you get the JFK story. But if you search "donut president" (with quotes) you get exactly one thing: this redirect. It's a completely unknown phrase made up by a Wikipedia editor. EEng 11:06, 8 March 2025 (UTC)
- Delete – An obscure phrase about a language barrier misspeak of little note; certainly not a useful serch term redirect. Drdpw (talk) 23:06, 8 March 2025 (UTC)
Howard University Speech
- Howard University Speech → Lyndon B. Johnson (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
way too vague, there have been lots and lots of speeches at Howard University Duckmather (talk) 22:03, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
Poppy Bush
- Poppy Bush → George H. W. Bush (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
this could also refer to a literal bush of poppies, so maybe retarget to poppy? Duckmather (talk) 21:57, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- From the article:
young Bush was called "Poppy"
. Nom seems to have missed this, so this should probably be speedy keep. — Anonymous 22:25, 7 March 2025 (UTC)- @An anonymous username, not my real name: I'm not saying that "Poppy Bush" isn't a way to refer to George H. W. Bush. I'm saying that it doesn't unambiguously refer to Bush. Duckmather (talk) 22:26, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Duckmather the title case is indicative of a person's name. "Poppy bush" in sentence case might be a plant, although most poppies don't seem to grow as bushes anyway. — Anonymous 22:28, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- @An anonymous username, not my real name: I'm not saying that "Poppy Bush" isn't a way to refer to George H. W. Bush. I'm saying that it doesn't unambiguously refer to Bush. Duckmather (talk) 22:26, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
BHOII
- BHOII → Barack Obama (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
not seeing this as an established acronym (presumably for "Barack Hussein Obama II"); the google search results are instead mostly partial title matches for various South Asian (???) names, so maybe delete? Duckmather (talk) 21:45, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- Delete Yes, it's an abbreviation of "Barack Hussein Obama II". No, nobody refers to him like this. – Muboshgu (talk) 22:04, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- Delete – Useless as a Barack Obama search term / redirect. Drdpw (talk) 22:15, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
Kumamoto, Japan
- Kumamoto, Japan → Kumamoto Prefecture (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
I see this redirect has some unusual history, with its most recent edit being unilateral retargeting to its current destination a few years ago by a dead account with under fifty edits. The formatting seems more indicative of a city name than a prefecture, and I believe it should be retargeted to Kumamoto. — Anonymous 20:57, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- Retarget per nom. - Presidentman talk · contribs (Talkback) 00:05, 8 March 2025 (UTC)
Mt ev
- Mt ev → Mount Everest (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
Based on the prefix finder page, there's a lot of articles that start with "Mount Ev". Delete as ambiguous / not an accepted / common name for Mount Everest. Hey man im josh (talk) 20:12, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- Delete – An ambiguous and unlikely search term for Mt. Everest. Drdpw (talk) 22:55, 8 March 2025 (UTC)
Mt mc
Not a common name for this mountain. Additionally, based on the prefix finder page, there's 52 articles that start with "Mount Mc". Delete as ambiguous / not being an accepted name for the mountain. Hey man im josh (talk) 20:12, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- Delete – An ambiguous and unlikely search term for Mt. McKinley. Drdpw (talk) 22:55, 8 March 2025 (UTC)
- Delete: Yeah, as an Alaskan, I don't see how "Mt mc" connects with Denali/McKinley. BOTTO (T•C) 03:01, 9 March 2025 (UTC)
Oh Man
yet another very common phrase that somehow ended up as a song redirect; maybe retarget to wikt:oh man? Duckmather (talk) 20:10, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- Retarget to Wiktionary per nom. Editorial comment: redirects based on a common phrase, epithet, idiom or motto should never target a musical album or artist because of a song that is not notable enough to have a dedicated Wikipedia page. To me, this is a clear violation of MOS:EASTEREGG. Carguychris (talk) 22:06, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
Super Mario Shirayuki-hime
- Super Mario Shirayuki-hime → List of non-video game media featuring Mario#Anime (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
Not mentioned at the target, unclear connection to the target. Hey man im josh (talk) 17:08, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
- Comment: Super Mario Shirayuki-hime is one of the OVAs in Amada Anime Series: Super Mario Bros., listed in target Aprzn (talk) 17:49, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
- Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.
Please add new comments below this notice. Thanks, ✗plicit 00:45, 26 February 2025 (UTC)
- Keep - Per Aprzn's comment. Useful redirect, targets the correct location. Mentioned in the text as saying that the OVA covers the story of "Snow White", and Shirayuki-hime is simply the Japanese translation of "Snow White"... WP:RFOR allows this. Fieari (talk) 00:27, 5 March 2025 (UTC)
- Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.

- Keep per above. Meets WP:RFOR as original name of OVA — 🪫Volatile 📲T | ⌨️C 07:19, 9 March 2025 (UTC)
Hitler war crime
- Hitler war crime → The Holocaust (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
I just created this redirect. I do not know where it should redirect. Should it redirect to Nazi Party, War crimes in World War II, or somewhere else Mast303 (talk) 18:45, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- Retarget to German war crimes#World War II. 𝚈𝚘𝚟𝚝 (𝚝𝚊𝚕𝚔𝚟𝚝) 19:19, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- Retarget to war crimes subsection per Yovt. Carguychris (talk) 19:53, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
Elgoog cool
- Elgoog cool → elgooG (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
Delete. This page was created in 2007 with the words "ElGoOg Is CoOl" and was later redirected to the article elgooG. It seems like a pointless redirect to me. Xoontor (talk) 18:30, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- Delete per nom. Pointless and implausible, seemingly created as vandalism back in 2007. — 🪫Volatile 📲T | ⌨️C 07:02, 9 March 2025 (UTC)
SCP-108
- SCP-108 → SCP Foundation (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
Delete, because it is not mentioned in the target article. Xoontor (talk) 18:16, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- Why not. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 18:26, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
Next queensland election
- Next queensland election → 2028 Queensland state election (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
Clearly a title that needs continuous changing. Not useful as a search term as well. ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 14:07, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- Keep Reasonable search term and correctly targeted. The target can always be changed in the future as needed. - Presidentman talk · contribs (Talkback) 18:22, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Presidentman @Muaza Husni Isn't it another hassle to update this redirect every 4 years? See Wikipedia:Redirects_are_costly#Redirects_sometimes_need_to_be_updated_as_articles_change for my concern. If someone does not update this, it'll be outdated and misinformational. We'll end up having pages like this which haven't been updated since 3 whole years. (please ping on reply) ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 10:59, 8 March 2025 (UTC)
- Keep Whats the issue. This is a search term. This page is helpful. Muaza Husni (talk) 02:35, 8 March 2025 (UTC)
- Keep. The existence of pages such as Next United Kingdom general election and Next South Korean presidential election would seem to indicate that this is a legitimate and reasonable search term. To my mind, this would fall under the first part of the last sentence in the section of WP:COSTLY linked above:
Therefore, there should be as many redirects as are needed to guide readers to what they are looking for, but not more than that.
. This seems to me as though it falls under "needed to guide readers to what they are looking for". – Michael Aurel (talk) 23:08, 8 March 2025 (UTC)
Techno Mechanicus Musk
- Techno Mechanicus Musk → Elon Musk#Personal life (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
Per WP:BLPNAME, WP:NONAME and WP:NOTPUBLICFIGURE. Absolutiva (talk) 12:30, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- Does any one actually use this?Slatersteven (talk) 12:35, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
Khabardar (unreleased film)
- Khabardar (unreleased film) → T. Rama Rao (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Redirects_for_discussion/Log/2019_February_15#Khabardar_(unreleased_film) for my reasons
note that a khabardar mention has still not been added after the 6 years between the last rfd. otherwise, i would've simply specified User:Someone-123-321 (I contribute, Talk page so SineBot will shut up) 10:56, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- Redirect to Kamal Haasan's unrealized projects, mentioned in detail in that article. Gotitbro (talk) 13:31, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
Ed Vezey
- Ed Vezey → USS Oklahoma (BB-37) (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
Delete. Subject not mentioned in target article. - \\'cԼF 05:09, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- Delete. NB: mention was only added to the article at the time of the previous RfD in 10/2019 (as last survivor alive, had died 2016); that mention was deleted in 12/2020 per WP:NOT, correctly in my view as ephemeral. - Davidships (talk) 22:34, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
South Italian
- South Italian → Neapolitan language (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
- Southern Italian language → Neapolitan language (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
- South Italian language → Neapolitan language (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
- South-Italian language → Sicilian language (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
The first one most definitely ought to go to the Southern Italian disambiguation page. The other three should at the very least be consistent with each other. 1234qwer1234qwer4 03:53, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- Glottolog calls Neapolitan 'Continental Southern Italian', but we def shouldn't have diff spellings going to Neapolitan and Sicilian. — kwami (talk) 04:02, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- Retarget all to Southern Italian All of these terms appear roughly equivalent, so they should point to the same place. And they all also seem ambiguous. - Presidentman talk · contribs (Talkback) 04:44, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- Southern Italian Languages is not ideal, but would work better than the alternatives mentioned so far. If the intent is to indicate autochthonous Romance languages only, Southern Italo-Romance is the usual label. Both Southern Italian and Southern Italian Language would very likely be interpreted by non-expert readers as referring to varieties of Italian, e.g. Italian as spoken in the south of Italy, not the indigenous languages of the area. As for Neapolitan, the language of Naples is one of the several Southern Italian Languages, i.e. part of the Southern Italo-Romance continuum. Barefoot through the chollas (talk) 05:31, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- "South Italian" is only very rarely a linguistic term - Retarget to Southern Italy. The others are linguistic, and I'll let others fight over them. Johnbod (talk) 13:47, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
False or misleading statements
- False or misleading statements → False statement (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
Feels like having "apples or oranges" redirect to "apples". I can't really see why this was created to begin with, except to parallel False or misleading statements by Donald Trump. — Anonymous 03:44, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- "False" and "misleading" are synonymous for the most part as explained with the Trump example; Keep. 𝚈𝚘𝚟𝚝 (𝚝𝚊𝚕𝚔𝚟𝚝) 14:59, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- Keep because this is a common phrase used to talk about false statements. Misleading statements doesn't have it's own article because it's a subset of false statements. Apples and oranges both have their own article though. KyleSirTalksAlot (talk) 15:35, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
Eye twitch
- Eye twitch → Blepharospasm (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
