- The result of the discussion was retarget to SOC. Hey man im josh (talk) 12:13, 17 October 2023 (UTC)
- SoC → System on a Chip (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]

- @Alpha200807: Please provide a rationale for your nominations. It's completely unclear what you are trying to propose here, and you should make this clear so that other editors can participate in the discussion. CycloneYoris talk! 00:35, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
- Retarget back to SOC which is a dab page. This used to be the original target for this redirect before the nominator changed it to its current location. Also, it isn't clear what the nominator is proposing (and I assume they're proposing deletion) but retargeting there seems better than deleting. CycloneYoris talk! 00:35, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
- Keep and add a hatnote to the dab. The target of this redirect has been disputed between System on a Chip and the SOC disambiguation page every so often since 2006 but as far as I can tell it has never been discussed. I've looked through all of the whatlinkshere are there and all but three are either clearly intending the System on a Chip article or disambiguation alerts for people who expected it to lead to that article. Of the other three, one is someone saying it leads to a disambiguation page but they don't know what was intended, the other two it's not immediately clear what meaning was meant, this strongly suggests that there is a primary topic. Of the first 40 results in the internal search engine, the first three are the disambig, the disambig talk page and the redirect. Of the remaining results, 32 are for the chip type, 1 is for State of charge (an article that uses "SOC" and "SoC" inconsistently), and four are irrelevant (they don't use "SoC" at all). Google of course is case insensitive, but from what I can tell with various searches is that System on a chip is the primary topic for "SoC" with that capitalisation; the only competing use is various Summer of Code programmes but when trying with searches like "SoC" computer and "SoC" code the primary topic is still either the chip type or something abbreviated SOC - a capitalisation also commonly used for the summer of code. So, by every measure the chip type is primary for this capitalisation. Thryduulf (talk) 00:48, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
- Retarget back to DAB page SOC or expect it to collect bad links again (which was how I found it, 4 years ago). Narky Blert (talk) 04:46, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
- Point of order: is it sporting to simultaneously change the redirect target and add an RfD notice, effectively locking the new target in place for a week? Certes (talk) 10:09, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
- In most cases the redirect should generally point at the stable target while being discussed at RfD, but there is an element of m:The wrong version here. User:Alpha200807 should take note of this, but nothing more needs to be done at this point. Thryduulf (talk) 10:21, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
- Retarget to SOC: While SoC is more likely to refer to System on a chip than some of the other listings at SOC, but I don't think it's overwhelmingly the WP:PTOPIC for SoC as State of Charge is commonly enough referred to as SoC as well. TartarTorte 12:55, 11 October 2023 (UTC)

Restore - created as a result of an inappropriate BLAR by PresN. The article had sources.A7V2 (talk) 01:11, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
- The article did not have sources. The article was one of a set of articles created by an editor using chatGPT with no oversight. The user has since been indef blocked as a result. Nothing the article said can be assumed to be true, no sources listed can be assumed to say what the text said they said. Could an article be written on the subject? Maybe. But if you have an article with no usable text, you have no article. --PresN 01:26, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
I'm not claiming that the article is in any way suitable, or that it shouldn't be deleted at AfD (nor am I claiming the contrary). Just that presumably since it has sources it is not eligible for speedy deletion, which is the usual criteria for an article (as opposed to a redirect without article history) to be deleted at RfD. Whether it is eligible for speedy deletion due to the creator being indefed would still not change the fact that your BLAR was inappropriate since you targeted it to an article with nothing about the topic, when you should have PRODed or sent it to AfD (or tagged for speedy deletion if that was an option, or just deleted it since you are an admin).A7V2 (talk) 02:07, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
- I was mistaken, apologies PresN, I should have looked more carefully to see that the subject is in fact discussed at the current target in the section Neighbours spin-offs#Other merchandise, though not with this name. It would be better then to refine to that section, adding this name explicitly there. A7V2 (talk) 02:51, 3 October 2023 (UTC)

Implausible synonym and search term for this topic. This page was created at this title and was appropriately moved 30 minutes after its inception to comply with MoS. "The fight for the" is not an title-intro that will likely be replicated in search queries to reach the article's key points, being the "Russian darknet market conflict". - Triple-murder → Murder (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
Triple murders are not covered at the target article, despite "double murder" being a redirect there. In my eyes, double is all that is needed, as it is all that is mentioned, and it doesn't seem necessary to go higher. Utopes (talk / cont) 06:23, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
- Keep - there are incoming links, and it's a reasonable target even if higher numbers aren't explicitly mentioned. Geromino Spork (talk) 16:33, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
- Keep due to the links and a lack of WP:SURPRISE. If someone is searching "triple murder", they would not be surprised to end up at an article for Murder even if it does not explicitly mention triple murders. -- Tavix (talk) 17:34, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
- Delete. There's only one incoming link from an article, and that article can be fixed. Better to have this come up as a redlink when someone tries to add it to an article, so they have notice that they probably shouldn't be linking that. --Trovatore (talk) 04:20, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
- Keep per Tavix. Why should someone not be linking "triple murder" to "murder", given that the target article contains content about multiple murders (even though it doesn't explicitly use the term) and if anyone tried to create a separate article about triple murders it would just redirected to the murder article (or outright deleted, depending on the NPP). Thryduulf (talk) 08:54, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
- I just can't see an occasion where it's a useful thing to link. The reader who sees "triple murder" in blue is entitled to expect that the target treats triple murder as a distinct thing, as opposed to, say, double or quadruple murder. It doesn't seem likely to me that we're ever going to do that. --Trovatore (talk) 15:10, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
- I agree it seems unlikely that we would do that, but "unlikely to do" is not the same as "should not" let alone "must not" - and even if it was a "must not" internal links are not the only reason for redirects to exist. Thryduulf (talk) 17:40, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
- Well, they're one of exactly two reasons, I'd say, the other being directly entering the term in the search box. If it were deleted, entering "triple murder" in the search box would bring up a page of hits that might be more useful than just sending you to the murder article. --Trovatore (talk) 18:54, 10 October 2023 (UTC)

- Retarget to spree killer, a concept that covers multiple murders in a short time. Double murder and Multiple murder would do well to be retargeted to this place, too. If there's a problem with this idea, then keep; it's obviously related and a reasonable target. Per Geronimo Spork's comment — if there were ever links, they still exist in past revisions, regardless of the current revisions tracked in Special:WhatLinksHere, so if Geronimo's right, you can't say that this is unused. Nyttend (talk) 05:39, 11 October 2023 (UTC)
- Yeah but -- they were always overlinks, and contained no information, so what is lost? There is no good reason to link the phrase "triple murder". --Trovatore (talk) 06:54, 11 October 2023 (UTC)
- They seem equally likely to refer to spree killer, serial killer and murders that are technically neither (e.g. killing multiple people at the same time), so unless we're disambiguating I think murder is best target for all of them. Thryduulf (talk) 11:29, 11 October 2023 (UTC)

While this is mentioned in an infobox for alternate names, to me it looks like a vague term and seems to be more-often-than-not used to refer to barristers, as much as you would call a judge "The Judge" when the occasion permits. Looking up "the barrister" did not show much for Shaun Wallace, although I wouldn't expect it to as it was dominated by other barrister related results. The subject with the most frequent results seems to be about The Barrister Magazine, although this magazine does not yet have an article, but the rest seems mostly Barrister related. In any case, such a (unorthodox?) nickname seems quite broad in subject matter and unidentifiable of a single person, as from my understanding, it feels like any barrister could be known as "The Barrister" depending on who you ask. I'm not sure that a cross-namespace redirect to a Category, which is not a list, is suitable when there is an article, Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator, which discusses charities in Scotland. A link to Category:Charities based in Scotland could be added to the See also section. Or the redirect could be deleted: note that Charities in England, for instance, does not exist. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 19:09, 1 October 2023 (UTC)
- Retarget to Charitable organization#Scotland This seems like the best target, given that it has the broadest coverage. I'm hesitant to target the regulatory agency since the topic of "Charities in Scotland" is broader than a single organization. - Presidentman talk · contribs (Talkback) 19:48, 1 October 2023 (UTC)

This compound is not a 4-hydroxycoumarin derivative (hence the "2-hydroxy" in the name) and is not mentioned anywhere enwiki. The second redirect is the CAS number for the compound. The creation of these redirects may have been exacerbated by a misleading search result on PubChem [2] which attempts to relate these terms to 4-hydroxycoumarin. Delete both. Mdewman6 (talk) 01:18, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
- Delete both. The first is a tautomer of 4-hydroxycoumarin, but neither the current target nor 4-hydroxycoumarin discuss tautomerization. The second seems to be an uncommon CAS number for 4-hydroxycoumarin (more often 1076-38-6) and if you must have CAS numbers as redirects it should point to the specific compound it refers to rather than the family of compounds and be tagged with {{R from CAS Registry Number}}. Moreover, I feel like CAS numbers are not useful redirects on Wikipedia for the cost of their maintenance and are better used searching proper chemical databases or chemical supplier websites. ― Synpath 19:55, 10 October 2023 (UTC)

Delete. The target's name, being originally written in Hebrew, can be transliterated in many ways, but a concluding capital "K" is implausible in all of them, as far as I can see. (One has two pageviews this calendar year, and the other has three.) Hebrew doesn't have capital and miniscule letters, so it definitely doesn't reflect capitalisation in the original. These are old redirects (one created in 2007 by a human, and the other in 2008 by a bot), but they're years newer than the CamelCase convention that's responsible for a few funny capitalisations, like AustraliA (example) or UuU. Unless someone can find evidence to the contrary, there's seemingly no reason to conclude that these are likely to have been linked off-wiki in the past sixteen years, so we're not really at risk of breaking links by deleting these.
