Comment I agree this seems promotional, but he was interviewed on All Things Considered which is more legit than many RS that pass muster in these musician AfD's, but it appears to be the only thing so it's probably not enough. ShelbyMarion (talk) 20:17, 22 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

• Keep. The Library of Congress article on the History of Ragtime specifically names him as an important exponent of the genre. See here. The All Things Considered program was an hour long interview of him on NPR. He's also the author of multiple articles in The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, so he's a pretty important academic/musicologist.
