Candix bankruptcy
I've removed the claim that the success of "Surfin'" bankrupted Candix as they released nine more singles after it, finally closing their doors late summer 1962. Andrew G. Doe (talk) 19:14, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
Brian and Al as current members
Brian and Al haven’t toured with the band for over 26 years (except during the one-off reunion), so I think it’s fair to say that Brian and Al are still shareholders of B.R.I. but aren’t members of the band anymore. It happens in a lot of bands where members aren’t physically in the band but remain as owners of the band. And Brian and Al were fired in 2012 by Mike. I would like to see some opinions about this topic. SamuelDJ12 (talk) 09:14, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
- This has already been settled ages ago. Brian and Al are still considered members of the band through their ownership of BRI. While I agree they were "fired" by Mike, they weren't kicked out of BRI since that would be impossible. There are also occasional non-performing reunions with Brian and Al (and sometimes David Marks and Blondie Chaplin). Recently, an unregistered reverted previous consensus unilaterally, and now you have followed. I would encourage you to revert your changes, and I assume some others would too. Thanks. - I've gone ahead and made an edit which I believe is a fair compromise: maintaining Wilson and Jardine as members, because they are, and linking to the touring configurations. We can see a similar example in the infobox for Jefferson Starship. The touring article is appropriate when referring to Love's version of the group which legally calls themselves "The Beach Boys" nowadays, just as other acts have distinct touring groups. Any new Beach Boys album work would undeniably include both Wilson and Jardine by way of BRI, such as in 2012. Maybe we should really be discussing Paul McCartney's official status as a member of the Beach Boys - he did chomp a mean celery, after all. Newsjunkiect (talk) 23:30, 22 February 2025 (UTC)
- That was easily found "About - Members". The Beach Boys. Retrieved 2025-02-24.. Moxy🍁 00:34, 24 February 2025 (UTC)

The current "official" Beach Boys are Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine and Bruce Johnston, but the current touring lineup only includes Mike and Bruce. So if you see The Beach Boys in concert today, you'll be getting: Mike Love and Bruce Johnston as well as Tim Bonhomme, Scott Totten, John Cowsill, Christian Love, Brian Eichenberger, Randy Leago and Keith Hubacher.

Love responded with a column in the Los Angeles Times, saying, "I did not fire Brian Wilson from the Beach Boys. I cannot fire Brian Wilson from the Beach Boys … I do not have such authority. And even if I did, I would never fire Brian Wilson from the Beach Boys. I love Brian Wilson. We are partners."
Pendleton
Pendleton is not a style of shirt but a brand. Pendleton Woollen Mill from Pendleton Oregon still make a Board Shirt. 2600:6C55:6300:E8:86AA:73B1:1826:DF46 (talk) 14:45, 10 February 2025 (UTC)
