Missing the origin of the "Ghost in the Shell"
"Ghost in the Shell" is a seminal computer concept spoken of by hackers/programmers for a decade before the "Ghost in the Shell" anime/manga came out. "The Soul of a New Machine," a book by Tracy Kidder, came out in 1981. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost_in_the_machine notes that "Ghost in the Machine" concept dated back to 1967. The musical group The Police released an album titled "Ghost in the Machine" in 1981.
