This is an Islamic battle. The use of AD is shirk (it means Anno Domini, or Year of our Lord, in which the Christians refer to Jesus, Astagfirullah). The Anno Domini calendar is for Christians. CE is appropriate for use here: it doesn't go against our religion. I have been warned in the past about changing these types of dates and I don't want to be banned from editing.
