Hi all, my changes to the infobox on article Into Hot Air are being reverted by user:Ferdinand Cesarano with the comment "box is meant to show the previous book and the next book written by this author, not necessarily only those books belonging to a particular series", despite me referring him to the infobox documentation, can someone back me up? Thanks GrahamHardy (talk) 16:18, 6 September 2019 (UTC)

:Yes, you are quite right. From the documentation: "followed_by: Title of subsequent book in a series or a sequel; will be italicised by template code (do not use to connect separate books chronologically)". It's true that those two parameters have often been misused, but errors should be corrected not replicated. embed infobox

The Golden Cangue uses this template with Chinese. I was going to embed it, but apparently there is no support for |module= yet. Frietjes? MB 15:02, 26 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

User:MB, I embedded it using the old method for now, which is probably how these are being embedded in other articles. the other option is to put it in the |notes=, but that adds a horizontal rule. Frietjes (talk) 15:13, 26 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

In lines 117 and 122, change nbsp to   to conform to all other instances of   in this template and avoid "bleed-through" of indirect reference to Spaces in lists of transclusions of articles using the Infobox book template.  — Quicksilver (Hydrargyrum)T @ 01:47, 28 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone please add to tag it for TfD? --Trialpears (talk) 10:04, 1 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Done, although I would likely have noticed this even without an edit request. * Pppery * it has begun... 13:52, 1 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Pppery, Sorry but I have now withdrawn the request. Could you remove it again? --Trialpears (talk) 16:02, 1 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Automated short description

Hi @The Anome: regarding this set of edits, I've noticed some problems with how this applies in practice:

 • The template itself now has the short description "1908 book by Lucy Maud Montgomery"
Hi! Thanks for the feedback. I've rolled bsck my changes, as I'm clearly doing this the wrong way. I think this is a job for a Lua module, per Template:Infobox settlement, and a lot more debugging before it's let loose in the wild. -- The Anome (talk) 21:27, 20 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
