Your edits to the Pepin Garcia article have been an improvement to the POV. I noticed on the talk page that you mentioned how the information about the man is scattered on the internet, but it would be very helpful if you cited more sources, especially for statements that could be challenged. All information on Wikipedia must be verifiable, so it would be good to cite things like "his skills as a blender and manufacturer continue to be in high demand" or anything else describing his accomplishments. Thanks. Khatru2 00:57, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
- I'm working on that, but it is time-consuming, because you get a little snip here and a little snip there, usually in cigar reviews or in retail catalogue entries. The main problem is that the man has gone from an unknown to a "star" in the cigar world so fast that the "biographers" haven't caught up with him.

Census-designated places
I'm glad to see that I'm not the only person who is rubbed the wrong way by calling towns, villages and neighborhoods census-designated places. I find it insulting and demeaning. This all started when Ram-Man use his rambot to change every article about a town or village in the U.S. to read something like "Pine Valley is a census-designated place". I've been changing articles as I come across them. See my "neighborhood" Bostonia, California for an example (if some TLA zealot hasn't reverted my edits). Rsduhamel 01:10, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
Merge proposal: incorporated place and census designated place into place (United States Census Bureau)
While caught up in the argument about whether we should use the term "census designated place" as the primary term to refer to unincorporated towns and villages I did a bit of research. I think what I found was interesting and useful. However I found it awkward to incorporate the information into the census designated place article, partly because the material also belongs in the incorporated place article. Also, a lot of the CDP article explains how a CDP resembles, but is not, an incorporated place where the incorporated place article is practically empty. I don't think there is enough unique material for three separate articles so I'm proposing a merger into one article named "place (United States Census Bureau)". I have already written the article that explains the terms in a logical order. I am asking for opinions, edits, etc. from other people who have written on the issue. See Talk:Place (United States Census Bureau) for more information. Rsduhamel 00:59, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

Spam in Fumadores

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Fumadores, by DarkAudit, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Fumadores is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Fumadores, please affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page, and put a note on its talk page. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Fumadores itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 22:49, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, I deleted the article not because it was spam, but because it did not seem sufficiently notable, especially given that it is such a new brand of cigar. (I should have clarified this in the deletion summary; sorry about that.) Having looked into related articles, though, it seems that this kind of article isn't particularly uncommon. The article probably teeters at the edge of notability, but I see no harm done in keeping it. The article has been restored. Johnleemk | Talk 03:57, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
Cigars
If you are going to create articles on cigars that only went into production this month, then you are going to have to explain why they are notable enough to be included. --Steve (Stephen) talk 09:36, 26 May 2007 (UTC) - OK, I'll do that. Glacierman 23:54, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Fumadores
I've nominated Fumadores, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Fumadores satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fumadores and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Fumadores during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. -- lucasbfr talk 22:34, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, whatever. Glacierman 01:16, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- I know it's disappointing when an article you've created gets nominated for deletion, but you shouldn't let it get to you. It happens. Personally, I'm arguing to keep the article on the AfD, but I just wanted to drop in to encourage you to maintain an even keel about the article. Getting huffy certainly won't convince many people of the subject's notability. Ford MF 06:13, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- Not huffy, just a little cranky. Many irons in the fire, and Wiki takes a lot of time. It's a small article and I just don't want to spend the time trying to defend it. My life will not be blighted! Glacierman 02:31, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
- Result of discussion was to keep the article. :-)

Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 02:38, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Wikipedia Campus Ambassadors wanted in Bozeman, Montana
Hi! I'm leaving you this message because you're listed as a Wikipedian in Montana. The Wikipedia Ambassador Program is currently looking for Campus Ambassadors to help with Wikipedia assignments at Montana State University - Bozeman, which will be participating in the Public Policy Initiative for the Spring 2011 semester. The role of Campus Ambassadors will be to provide face-to-face training and support for students on Wikipedia-related skills (how to edit articles, how to add references, etc.). This includes doing in-class presentations, running workshops and labs, possibly holding office hours, and in general providing in-person mentorship for students.
Prior Wikipedia skills are not required for the role, as training will be provided for all Campus Ambassadors (although, of course, being an experienced editor is a plus).
I know Montana is a big state, but if you happen to live near Bozeman and you are interested in being a Wikipedia Campus Ambassador, or know someone else from Bozeman who might be, please email me or leave a message on my talk page.--Sage Ross - Online Facilitator, Wikimedia Foundation (talk) 21:29, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
