Guard is a 2025 Telugu-language horror thriller film written and directed by Jaga Peddi and produced by Anasuya Reddy under Anu Productions. It stars Viraj Reddy Cheelam, Mimi Leonard and Shilpa Balakrishna in lead roles.[1][2][3] The film was released on 28 February 2025.[4][5]
Plot
Security officer Sushanth endures eerie encounters during his night shifts at Melbourne’s Building M until Dr. Sam becomes possessed by a vengeful spirit. Determined to save her, he uncovers the building’s dark past and the spirit’s tragic history, risking everything to help the spirit find justice and free Sam before it’s too late.

Guard was released theatrically on 28 February 2025.[7][8]
Reception
Richa Barua of Asianet News rated the film 2.5/5 stars and stated "Director Jaga Peddi has chosen a familiar storyline but has left his mark through his direction. Overall, this movie is likely to entertain fans of horror-thriller films".[9]
Kiran of Zee News rated the film 2.75/5 stars and wrote "Viraj Reddy Cheelam, despite being a newcomer, performs well in his role. The director presents the story in a new way, adding a scary element. The production is high-quality".[10]
Bhanu Prasad of News18 Telugu rated the film 2.75/5 stars and stated "The background is well-executed, and the cinematography and visuals are clear. The actors perform their roles effectively".[11]
