Grand Canyon Beersheba (Grand Mall or Ofer Grand Canyon; Hebrew - גרנד קניון באר שבע) is a shopping center located on Road 25 in the city Beersheba, Israel. The shopping center was opened on May 23, 2013, on the site previously occupied by the historical Neot Midbar Hotel. The shopping center is part of the Ofer shopping centers group under the Melisron Group.

The shopping mall spans approximately 160,000 square meters, with 50,000 square meters dedicated to commercial space, hosting around 250 stores. It is considered the largest in Israel by interior size. The mall stretches approximately 273 meters in length and was designed by the architectural firm MYS Architects.[1] It features a diverse array of stores including clothing, sportswear, restaurants, cafes, and a market. The top floor hosts a fast-food center, a video arcade and a gym.[2]

Location and design

Located in the residential area of Beersheba, the Grand Canyon Beersheba was designed to incorporate the latest principles in mall architecture. The mall's oval-shaped, double-mall layout enhances store visibility and allows for flexible interior designs. Inspired by the high-end Ramat Aviv Mall in Tel Aviv, it includes multiple floors for business, shopping, and entertainment. Its architectural design features large aluminum panels, natural stone, and ceramic glass, promoting a modern and open atmosphere. Skylights provide natural lighting, enhancing the shopping experience.[1]

Melisron's acquisition of Eli Lahav's share

The shopping center was initially developed by the Sabag Group and Melisron Group. In May 2016, Eli Lahav sold his share to the Melisron Group, making the Melisron Group its sole owner.[3]
