Comment: This draft is a draft on a subtopic of an existing article, Sidemen. Discussion as to whether a separate article for the subtopic is warranted should be on the talk page of the parent article, Talk:Sidemen. Please discuss the suitability of creating a separate subtopic article on the talk page of the parent article. Please resubmit this draft if there is rough consensus at the parent talk page to create the child article, or with an explanation that the child draft satisfies either general notability on its own or a special notability guide. The topic of this draft, W2S, has a long history of creation and deletion, and is a locked redirect to Sidemen. Harold Christopher George Lewis (born 24 November 1996), better known online as W2S or Wroetoshaw, is a British YouTuber and Internet personality. He is a member and co-founder of the British YouTube group the Sidemen,[1][2] as well as a co-owner of XIX Vodka, Sidemen Clothing,[3] restaurant chain Sides,[4][5][6] and cereal brand Best Breakfasts.[7][8]
Lewis launched his YouTube channel, W2S, in 2012, primarily focusing on FIFA gaming videos. Over time, he diversified his content to include real-life challenges and collaborations with other YouTubers. As of January 2025, his main YouTube channel has over 16.3 million subscribers.
Early life and education
Harry Lewis, was born on November 24, 1996, in Guernsey,[9] one of the Channel Islands. He along with his family lived in Alderney before relocating to Guernsey in 2004.[10][11]
During his childhood, Harry played for a local football team called 'Rangers F.C.' and once lost a match 32–0. He first got into gaming when his parents bought him a Nintendo GameCube for £5 from a car boot sale.
He attended Guernsey Grammar School where he sat his GCSE maths exam a year early and achieved a grade A*.[12]
Career
Lewis launched his YouTube channel, W2S (Wroetoshaw), in 2012, focusing primarily on FIFA gaming content. Over time, he garnered a substantial following and diversified his content to include real-life challenges and collaborations with other YouTubers. His online alias of "Wroetoshaw" is a combination of the players Nicky Wroe and Tom Bradshaw.[13] At the age of 17, he dropped out of school and decided to do YouTube as his full-time job.
In January 2014, Zerkaa met Lewis while at a FIFA gaming event in New York City and invited him to join the Sidemen.[14] In 2014, Harry moved to London and became roommates with fellow YouTubers Callux and Calfreezy.
In 2014, Lewis made a FIFA coin website with another YouTuber called EzekielGamingHD. In 2017 during Lewis's reaction to KSI's Two Birds One Stone diss track, he explained that Ezekiel 'robbed' around £100,000 pounds from Lewis, and then bought a Nissan GT-R.[15]
In 2016, Lewis and the Sidemen organized the Upload influencer event, a gathering that allowed fans to interact with the Sidemen and other web video creators. The second and final Upload event took place in September 2017.[16]
Lewis reached ten million subscribers on his main channel in April 2017 and received his "Diamond Play Button" from YouTube shortly afterwards.
In August 2017, the Sidemen diss tracks occurred, an event in which Lewis was prominent, releasing several diss tracks over the period against fellow member of the Sidemen, KSI. Lewis uploaded a three minute long diss track on August 8th titled "KSI Sucks". The video has over 64 million views and was considered by the audience to be one of the best tracks. Lewis predominantly targeted KSI and his family in the song.[17][18] On August 9th, RiceGum uploaded his reaction to Harry's diss track and was confused that Harry only mentioned him once throughout the song (as well as it being a compliment) despite his name being featured in the title. RiceGum also reacted to other diss tracks against him and complained about their hostility. On August 10th, KSI reacted to the Diss Track.[19] On August 13 - after uploading "Earthquake" aimed at Ethan, KSI uploaded a diss track titled "Little Boy" aimed at Harry as a response to "KSI Sucks". The video has over 61 million views. It included a lot of "controversial" lines relating to drug use which many of the Sidemen claimed was when the drama started turning serious. The following day, Harry uploaded a video with his mum reacting to "Little Boy".[20] In the video, Harry promised he'd post his response within "72 hours". The day after that (15 August), KSI reacted to Harry's reaction video - within his own video titled "I'm Getting Deported". On August 19, Harry's second diss track called "KSI Exposed" was uploaded.[21] On August 24, KSI uploaded a diss track titled "Two Birds One Stone". It was targeted towards both W2S and Joe Weller, and was the final diss track in the W2S and KSI drama. He responded to the accusations from Harry's diss track and summed up the situation between himself and Joe Weller. Harry reacted to this track on the same day and provided no evidence that he would respond again. Half a million pounds of revenue were made between the seven Sidemen.[22]
In 2018, W2S set a Guinness World Record for having the most subscribers and views for a dedicated FIFA channel.[23]
In 2018, Lewis released another satirical Diss Track on YouTuber, Ricegum.[24][25]
In 2020, The Sidemen Channel reached 10 Million Subscribers, with Lewis receiving his second Diamond Creator Award from YouTube.[26][27][28]
In September 2021, Lewis and the Sidemen launched a subscription service app known as Side+, where they would post behind-the-scenes content from their YouTube video recordings and other extra contents.[29][30]
In August 2023, Lewis was awarded a Guinness World Record for the most viewers for a crossbar challenge video on YouTube.[31][32] He was also awarded the Streamy Awards and the Shorty Awards for his online content creation. Lewis also shares the Guinness World Record for "Most viewers for a charity sports match live stream on YouTube" with the Sidemen.[33]
In 2024, Lewis and the Sidemen launched "Inside", which garnered millions of views and has been picked up for a Season Two, and an American Adaptation by Netflix.[34][35]
Philanthropy
In August 2015, all of the Sidemen members except Olatunji and Barn participated in the 2015 Wembley Cup football charity match, facing Spencer FC, with Minter captaining the Sidemen United team. The match ended with Spencer FC beating Sidemen United by five goals to two.[36]

Lewis has participated in the Sidemen Charity Match as a member of the Sidemen, which has raised funds for charities including the Teenage Cancer Trust and CALM.[37][38] The Sidemen Charity Match is a recurring football friendly match run by the Sidemen to raise money for various charitable causes. They have been held since 2016, barring a four-year hiatus between the third and fourth matches, while the upcoming sixth match is being held eighteen months after the fifth. In all matches so far, the group's seven members and various affiliated YouTubers competed as the Sidemen Football Club, while various other YouTubers competed as the YouTube Allstars. The first match, on 3 June 2016, was held at St Mary's Stadium, Southampton, raising over £110,000 for the Saints Foundation.[39][40]
In December 2021, Lewis participated in a five-a-side football tournament hosted by YouTuber and sports commentator, True Geordie and Twitch, raising money for the Alan Shearer Foundation.[41] The event managed to raise more than £100,000.[42]
The 2025 Sidemen Charity Match will take place at Wembley Stadium.[43]
In March 2020, Lewis and the Sidemen released a twenty-minute YouTube video titled "#StayHome". The video featured the Sidemen and more than one hundred other YouTube video creators and other celebrities raising awareness of the UK's "stay at home" campaign which aimed to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the UK.[44][45] All of the advertising revenue generated from the video was donated to the NHS.[46]
On 3 July 2023, Lewis participated in a collaborative hide-and-seek challenge video with Paradise Wildlife Park, a Hertfordshire-based zoo. This initiative was part of a broader partnership aimed at supporting the zoo's conservation efforts.[47]
Personal life
Lewis has a younger brother and a younger sister.
In 2022, he competed in Mr Beast's Private Jet Challenge, in which he won a private jet for his siblings.[48][49]
