Senad Alibegović (born August 4th, 1991 in Visoko, Bosnia and Herzegovina) is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian communication strategist, public relations expert, communication scientist and TEDx speaker. Currently, he is CEO of KENSHO Communications.[1]
Senad is a Doctoral candidate at the University of Vienna, Department of Communication, where he is writing his dissertation under the supervision of Univ.-Prof. Dr. Katharine Sarikakis. He is researching the role of youth as a political actor in the media governance of online hate-speech in post-conflict societies.[2] In addition, Senad is a Researcher at the Media Governance and Industries Research Lab,[3] University of Vienna.
Education
He completed their primary education at "Safvet-beg Bašagić" primary school and later attended Gymnasium "Visoko". He earned BSc in Architecture Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at the International University of Sarajevo in 2014, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
In addition, he earned MSc in Architecture Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at the International University of Sarajevo,[4] as well as MA in Political Sciences from Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Sarajevo.
Currently, he is Doctoral candidate at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Communications, at the University of Vienna.
Career
In August 2023, he founded KENSHO Communications & Media,[5] specialised agency for communications, public relations, marketing and media in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.[6]
Awards
In 2018 was honoured with the prestigious Gender Equality Award 2017 by the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina and OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina.[7][8] The same year he has been recognised as one of 40 Peace Ambassador of the One Young World held in The Hague, Netherlands,[9] as well as the recipient of "The Best Youth Change-maker" Award by the LEAP Summit[10] in Zagreb, Croatia.[11][2]
He was twice distinguished as a TEDx Talks speaker. TEDxSarajevo,[12] an independently organized TED Talks event featured Senad as one of the speakers in April 2022, with the topic "Digital remedy for countering hate-speech".[13][14] Six years prior, he was also a TEDx speaker at the TEDxStariGrad, with the topic "Are you brave enough to ask for more?"[15][16]
In 2025 he has been awarded with the PRO PRO Globe People Achievement Award[17].[18][19] The PRO PR Globe People Achievement Awards is a unique award program that awards recognition to individuals who independently, with the support of their teams, realized a vision of prosperity through communications for their organizations, and also the public relations industry, following ethical standards.[20]
