Richard Pilling (11 August 1855 – 28 March 1891) was an English professional cricketer who played eight Test matches for the England cricket team. In first-class cricket he represented Lancashire County Cricket Club.[1]
Life
Pilling was born in August 1855 at Old Warden in Bedfordshire. He died aged 35 on 28 March 1891 from Tuberculosis. He was commonly called Dick Pilling.[2][3][4]
Cricket
Pilling was a wicket-keeper who played 8 times for the England cricket team.[5] He was one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 1891.
