- It is claimed that the uploader is the copyright holder, but it seems more likely that this was created on behalf of a country's army. When I make a Google search for this image, I find a lot of Nazi propaganda, so maybe the picture comes from Nazi Germany. Stefan2 (talk) 15:00, 31 January 2015 (UTC)

If the uploader isn't the copyright holder, then the file should not indicate that the uploader is the copyright holder. Also, evidence is needed that the file is licensed under the indicated CC licence. Stefan2 (talk) 15:02, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
- Hi.
- Reinoutr is wrong. HeidiSQL is free and open-source, under GPL license. The license on Commons is correct.
- In addition, Ansgar Becker is the author of HeidiSQL; so if the uploader is indeed this person, the image is officially CC. This something that is easily resolved with an OTRS ticket.
- Best regards,
- Codename Lisa (talk) 01:44, 9 March 2015 (UTC)
- OK, so if this isn't resolved with OTRS, we should still keep the image but simply change the copyright tag to {{GPL}}. --Stefan2 (talk) 16:07, 9 March 2015 (UTC)
- Or take the shortcut: If we deleted this file and let the version on Commons that bears the same name take over, it would be nice. Best regards, Codename Lisa (talk) 22:53, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

- Drawing by Sir William Rothenstein. Seems to be from 1920, but is sourced to a 1939 book, which could easily be the first publication. - Source says that image is from sometime in the 1940s - although probably PD in Australia, there's no evidence that it was published prior to 1946, which would be required to make this image PD in the United States. Kelly hi! 17:25, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
- That's not correct. It is sufficient for PD-US if the first publication was before 1 March 1989, but the photograph must have been taken before 1946. The publication must additionally be without compliance of United States copyright formalities. Of course, in this case, there is no evidence of any publication at all. --Stefan2 (talk) 18:01, 31 January 2015 (UTC)

- File:Condoms 08293403.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Author claims they have taken the photo, but this is questionable:
- The file contains "Copyright (c) 1998 Hewlett-Packard Company" - yet the description say it was taken in 2006
- The same image is being sold at http://www.fotosearch.com/FSA158/x12312040/ for a much higher resolution, note the lower orange condom is blanked out in the upload.
- Again, another higher resolution one is available at http://www.f1online.de/de/bild-details/1561645.html
- A quick google shows many higher resolutions available, why was such a low-res uploaded?
- Why is one of the condoms blanked out? And badly.
- User has also uploaded File:Condom sign.jpg and File:Condom cartoon.jpg which were speedily deleted for blatant copyright infringement.
File should be deleted as it is quite clear the uploaded is not the owner of the image.--Otterathome (talk) 22:32, 31 January 2015 (UTC) Otterathome (talk) 22:32, 31 January 2015 (UTC)

- Description says it is a scan of a sign owned by uploader. Yet it doesn't look like a scan, more like a clipart. User has history of images being deleted for violations. Delete as origin is unknown. Otterathome (talk) 22:32, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
- The fact that the uploader owns a copy of a sign doesn't mean that the uploader is the copyright holder to the sign. --Stefan2 (talk) 22:39, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
- Blatantly not a scan, as claimed by uploader - not that that would matter, because scanning it wouldn't give you copyright to it. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 00:26, 3 February 2015 (UTC)

- Delete No point in waiting since the uploader has retired from Wikipedia and his account has been blocked at his request. The supposed source does not release the copyright of this image, and I don't think I would trust an Ebay release even if they had.
