- Comment Is there coverage in Ukrainian, the native language of author Roman Ivanychuk? Redirecting to the author is also an option if this book fails WP:GNG. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 20:23, 3 April 2023 (UTC)
- Keep I've heard of this novel (though obviously not read it), even though I don't speak Ukrainian. "not published in English, no reviews in English" neither of these is relevant. Here's an article about it in Ukrainian[1] that may or may not itself count for notability, but which references a number of other sources in Ukrainian about the novel. Also there's an article:
- Бабій І.О., Семенюк О.А. Гуцульська побутова лексика в романі Р. Іваничука «Вогненні стовпи». Науковий вісник Херсонського державного університету. Лінгвістика. 2018. Вип. 33. С. 18–22[2].
- Someone with some Ukrainian language language skills could probably find more sources.Jahaza (talk) 00:01, 4 April 2023 (UTC)

- Comment. The relevant guideline to consider is WP:NBOOK. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 15:00, 4 April 2023 (UTC)
- From what is in the guideline you have linked, and taking into account the links sent by @Jahaza, it appears that the book meets the notability requirements. It looks I was hasty. Marcelus (talk) 18:00, 4 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Marcelus Possibly. I concur that the two sources are in-depth. We also need to consider whether the sources we found are reliable. The first review is from "md-eksperiment.org" portal (about). What kind of editorials control do they have (i.e. what can prevent us from calling them a blog?). The second source [3] looks academic so it is probably reliable. Overall, right now I am on the fence: if someone can point out how the first source is reliable, or find some other reliable source, I'd vote keep. PS. I think the English name of this article is poor, I'd recommend Pillars of Fire. We can discuss this on article's talk later if it is kept. - Keep As mentioned above, the "md-eksperiment.org" source cites several journal articles which apparently discuss this book. One of them, Ільницький/Ilnytskyi, "Містерія Йорданської ночі", in the journal Slovo i Chas, is available online here (non-secure url). This article clearly does discuss the book at length; I don't speak Ukrainian but the book title appears in bold in the first sentence, and recurs throughout. This, along with the other journal source given by Jahaza, is enough to meet NBOOK, and it also gives me confidence that the other sources cited by the "md-eksperiment.org" article are accurately represented, and would also help to establish notability if located. Sojourner in the earth (talk) 16:40, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
- Weak keep per above. There is clearly enough coverage to meet NBOOK, so no need for deletion. Though I do note that the article needs to be expanded, since it's current state as a stub is far from optimal, and therefore the reason for my "weak" keep vote. - Comment: if kept, the article should probably move to its Ukranian-language title, rather than this translation, since there is no English translation of the book. -- asilvering (talk) 00:33, 11 April 2023 (UTC)
- That would contradict WP:NCBOOKS. Jahaza (talk) 01:08, 11 April 2023 (UTC)
