- Following an RFC, Wikipedia:Notability (species) was adopted as a subject-specific notability guideline.
- A request for comment is open to discuss whether admins should be advised to warn users rather than issue no-warning blocks to those who have posted promotional content outside of article space.
- The Nuke feature also now provides links to the userpage of the user whose pages were deleted, and to the pages which were not selected for deletion, after page deletions are queued. This enables easier follow-up admin-actions.
- Following the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections, the following editors have been elected to the Arbitration Committee: CaptainEek, Daniel, Elli, KrakatoaKatie, Liz, Primefac, ScottishFinnishRadish, Theleekycauldron, Worm That Turned.
- A New Pages Patrol backlog drive is happening in January 2025 to reduce the number of unreviewed articles and redirects in the new pages feed. Sign up here to participate!
Did you notice this Paddy's Day main page article? ww2censor (talk) 16:14, 23 January 2025 (UTC)
- No, I had not seen that - well now! Thanks! Great that the work of last year enabled it to remain at FA - maybe ahead of 17.3 we see if any further tweaks or illustration would improve it. SeoR (talk) 21:29, 23 January 2025 (UTC)

Draft:Hiro (motorcycles)
Hello SeoR, You mentioned on the page Draft:Hiro (motorcycles), that if I add One solid independent industry reference it would be approved. However, it's very difficult to find such an online reference. I added a few more references, and the best thing I can find is this article of the magazine Classic Trial (1 Oct 2015). If I add that would it be sufficient? The article has enough references imo and pages about Hiro (motorcycles) are already approved on other language Wikis. -Artanisen (talk) 08:37, 29 January 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for that Artanisen, and it might do. The reference does not have to be online, and for that topic, would quite likely be in a book reviewing the motorcycle world of the period. However, Classic Trial was well-established, so let me have a look. This is not a question of doubt about the facts - just about sufficient sourcing that the article is not promptly challenged on launch (this happened to another draft I cleared recently). TCD article
Hello SeoR, so I added the citation needed tag to TCD article, and split whole article into smaller paragraphs for easier read. Also putted citation needed tags in places that needs it. Could start inviting Dublin based editors to see if they can help? SeanBeans1981 (talk) 00:49, 1 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hello, SeanBeans1981! Great work ongoing, I see. I was going to do the invitation a while back, but then I thought that it would be easier if the article was prepped a bit more, to be clear about the gaps. And as it happened, my work saw me offline much more than I hoped (and than I used to be, but this is a thing that began in 2024, and unexpectedly continued to grow), so I felt it might be best to wait until I would be around to be active myself too. I am now back, and yes, will do a call out. SeoR (talk) 11:49, 4 March 2025 (UTC)
