Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Kearny High School (New Jersey), but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! File source problem with File:New Jersey Transit 6397-a.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:New Jersey Transit 6397-a.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 02:25, 26 December 2024 (UTC)
Disputed non-free use rationale for File:New Jersey Transit 6349-a.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:New Jersey Transit 6349-a.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 03:32, 26 December 2024 (UTC)
Replaceable non-free use File:Greenville Garage Lot.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Greenville Garage Lot.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file's talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 12:24, 26 December 2024 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:New Jersey Transit 6397-a.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:New Jersey Transit 6397-a.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 04:07, 28 December 2024 (UTC)

NJT bus garages
If you take New Jersey Transit garages and yards, you can build on this article and gather informations there if you use information at NJ Transit Bus Operations#Divisions, facilities, and operators, you could build a nice article, including the information for the three individual articles up for deletion.Djflem (talk) 12:08, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
- But how? Can you help me? Danny5784 (talk) 18:48, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
- merge them; just follow the format of the second and combine it with the first and add the references. All the separate articles will not survive deletion.Djflem (talk) 21:41, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
- So, your saying to follow the format of the second article I made? Danny5784 (talk) 22:01, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
- NO, I'm saying take NJ Transit Bus Operations#Divisions, facilities, and operators format and improve on it, BUT first read Wikipedia:Reliable sources and Wikipedia:Citing sources. All the individual articles are garbage that you are wasting time with because they will all be deleted as can be seen at Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Transportation. Why do you insist on producing them if you cannot build a decent well written, well referenced article? Your contributions will continue to be rejected (and that's a shame) if you do not familiarize yourself with how Wikipedia works. Djflem (talk) 08:09, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
- I agree, you should continue working on New Jersey Transit garages and yards because at least there you can bundle all the different sources together to show notability. Individual bus depots are very rarely gonna have enough in-depth coverage to meet notability guidelines. JTtheOG (talk) 09:16, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
- If I make an article called: New Jersey Transit garages with no yards included, does it still count for all the info? Danny5784 (talk) 13:13, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
- Just work on article as it is and change the name later, maybe to NJT bus garages or New Jersey Transit bus garages. (do not capitalise bus or garage). It seems it's about the garages, not the yards. Djflem (talk) 11:01, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- I’m already starting to make a NJT bus garage article. But, should I have it as this?
- == Fairview Garage ==
- or this?
- === Fairview Garage === Danny5784 (talk) 13:08, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- If you do
- ==Northern Division==, then do
- ===Fairview Garage=== Djflem (talk) 09:51, 11 January 2025 (UTC)
- I was gonna make a new article with the bus garages with their routes. Danny5784 (talk) 14:08, 12 January 2025 (UTC)

Replaceable non-free use File:New Jersey Transit 5743-a.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:New Jersey Transit 5743-a.jpg.
{{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
Speedy deletion nomination of Template:NJ Transit Bus Fleet

A tag has been placed on Template:NJ Transit Bus Fleet requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Entirely redlinks with zero indication of notability (Draft:New Jersey Transit 6539-6549 was declined, for example)
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". - Please slow down with your edits and pay attention to the feedback you have received from other editors. Most of the articles you are creating are about subjects that do not meet the guideline at Wikipedia:Notability. Most also suffer from a lack of reliable sources. Duplicate articles like New Jersey Transit bus garages and NJ Transit Bus Garage Fleet/Routes (both now directed), drafts on clearly non-notable subjects like Draft:New Jersey Transit 6539-6549, and unneeded templates like Template:NJ Transit Bus Fleet (see WP:EXISTING for why a template of redlinks is not useful) waste the time of other editors and do not improve the encyclopedia. You may find that CPTDB or transit.wiki are better fits for you, as they do not have the same notability and sourcing criteria that Wikipedia does. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 09:17, 20 January 2025 (UTC)

Your additions to New Jersey Transit 6539-6549 have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.

- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. - Pretty simple: you cannot just take something from an another website or any place on line and copy it and put it Wikipedia. You cannot just make stuff up and put it Wikipedia. You cannot publish things you may believe to be true without backing it up with reliable sources such as books, newspapers, websites, etc.Djflem (talk) 18:42, 21 January 2025 (UTC)
What Wikipedia is not & copyright violations
You may want to read this policy:Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not. It describes that Wikipedia is not a personal website or a place to store information not considered to be encyclopedic. Your user pages seemed to be filled with material that has been decided by the community to not be encyclopaedic and seems the same as many of pages that were deleted. What's your intention? A tag has been placed on Category:New Jersey Transit fleet requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

Alternative outlets
Have you considered alternative outlets? Sometimes people put unencyclopedic articles in their user space and work on them tirelessly. The community decided that this isn't helpful, and work you do on English Wikipedia needs to ultimately feed into our purpose – creating an online encyclopedia about notable topics. You can't use English Wikipedia as a private web server. One pitfall that people sometimes fall into is thinking that if they write an article well enough, it will eventually fall into line with our policies. However, no amount of editing can overcome a lack of notability. That means that if reliable sources don't discuss a topic, neither do we. Thus, one might consider putting this information on a different website. Some of these websites can be access using your Wikipedia account.
If you don't have any interest in editing outside your own user space, there's a real possibility that you will be blocked for not being here to build an encyclopedia. This is currently being discussed at WP:ANI. If you're here to contribute to encyclopedia articles in mainspace, it would benefit you to comment at the ANI discussion and clearly say that. And then to put your efforts into that, of course. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 22:05, 10 February 2025 (UTC)

Request reason:
I want to be unblocked because I am here to build an encyclopedia and to make Wikipedia a better place to see news articles from. Also, anything from my sandbox is mine and still in develop. I also want to fix any mistakes that were made in articles that people can't understand or they can't read what it means. Thank you. Danny5784 (talk) 01:56, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
Decline reason:
I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
- the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
- the block is no longer necessary because you:
- understand what you have been blocked for,
- will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
- will make useful contributions instead.
Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. * Pppery * it has begun... 05:30, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- Hello, Danny5784,
- User pages and sandboxes are not private and belong to the project, not the editor. Generally other editors won't edit another editor's User pages but they are not like your own private blog or website and you don't have "ownership" over them. There are special CSD criteria just to handle deletion of User pages especially CSD U5 which is for using Wikipedia User's pages are your own personal webhost. If you want to retain the content on them, I suggest you copy it and paste it somewhere off-Wikipedia. Liz Read! Talk! 03:59, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
[Unblock request removed as per below conversation]
- (Non-administrator comment) Hi @Danny5784:, can you please read WP:Guide to appealing blocks as you've not submitted a very thorough appeal.
- You need to explain what you did wrong, why it caused problems and then how you'll avoid doing the same thing going forwards. You've been given these answers on this page, but you need to be able to find them and put the pieces together yourself.
- Just saying that you understand your mistake without any further detail doesn't prove any of those things. Blocks are to prevent further disruption, you need to be able to prove that you won't cause the same problems if you're unblocked, and right now you're nowhere near close to doing that, I'm afraid.
- To be as clear as possible, you need to do this:
- Read the guide I've linked
- Read the reasons why you were blocked above
- Explain what you did wrong
- Explain why it was disruptive/against the rules
- Explain exactly what you'll to do avoid that in future (specify what you will or won't do next time).
- Please take the time to read through everything and understand what you need to do, because no-one else can do that for you. I don't think your current appeal is likely to be accepted if you don't follow the instructions you've been given, please try to do this before it's declined again. Blue Sonnet (talk) 14:01, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
Alright but, do I make another unblock appeal or no? Danny5784 (talk) 2:02, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
- Danny5784, if it hasn't been responded to, you can remove an unblock request from your User talk page. I also encourage you to read the guide. It will provide the best guidance on what you need to do. Liz Read! Talk! 02:30, 12 February 2025 (UTC)

Notes:
- In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. - (Non-administrator comment) Hi again @Danny5784:, you're going to have to be much more specific before you can be unblocked. You need to explain which of your actions were disruptive, why it was disruptive, then go over the exact steps you'll take to avoid doing that in future.
- You're almost there, but I think you should take some more time to read through the notices and links above to fully understand what happened. Several issues were raised here and you need to show that you understand and won't repeat each one of them. I'll be honest, there's a lot so it'll take a while.
- When you've done this, you can add either edit your appeal in the template, or just add this missing information as a reply below this comment (much easier). Blue Sonnet (talk) 01:20, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
The actions that were disrupted were any pages that had my user on it. It was disruptive because it had things from CPTDB and copyrights also. The steps I’ll take to avoid being blocked in the future is to not contribute to any articles that have my user on it and to edit only the articles that don’t have my user on it. Danny5784 (talk) 13:20, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
- Can you explain what you mean when you say "
articles that have [your] user on it
"? Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 04:22, 19 February 2025 (UTC)- What I mean is that articles that have my user name like for example: User:Danny5784/[article name] are the ones that were disrupted. Danny5784 (talk) 11:41, 19 February 2025 (UTC)
- (Non-administrator comment) Ah ok, so the problem was that you created a lot of sandboxes (almost forty!) that weren't suitable as articles. So it's good that you won't continue to do that.
- That said, it's ok to have one or two as testing grounds for future edits, but you need to remember that they must follow the same rules as "normal" articles.
- So no copyright violations (even though they're sandboxes, they're still on Wikipedia and visible to anyone), no using them to store anything that isn't suitable for Wikipedia in general, etc. Whilst space on here isn't really "limited" from an individual editors perspective, it's good to think of it that way so you don't accidentally misuse it.
- The other recommendation in the first ANI I saw was that you only submit new articles via the AFC process, so they can be checked beforehand. If you do this, try to limit yourself to only a couple as you don't want to overwhelm the system & it'll make it easier to remember what you're doing.
- Since there were so many concerns, would you be happy to stick to smaller edits for a while, so you can learn the building blocks for what makes a good article? That might be a good idea to present to an admin as part of your appeal.
- You can find lots of ways to help & there are even specific project pages if there is a particular subject or area that you're really interested in?
- Or you can start small with the Typo Team, which I've helped out with myself - there are pages where you can look for non-neutral words that need changing to neutral ones (really good for learning the right tone to use when describing different things), fix commonly misspelled words or formatting, there's lots of stuff you can do! Blue Sonnet (talk) 14:32, 19 February 2025 (UTC)
- I would be happy to stick with smaller edits. Danny5784 (talk) 18:52, 19 February 2025 (UTC)
- (Non-administrator comment) Great! I'm not sure if an admin might have any other questions so I'll leave this in their hands now. There's a bit of a backlog so please be patient!
- In the meantime you can have a look through the various How-to pages (especially this Close paraphrasing essay) - this'll mean you're prepared for any more questions & are working towards becoming a better editor whilst you're waiting for a decision.
- I don't know if it's accessible whilst you're blocked, but The Wikipedia Adventure is another resource that'll help you grow as an editor.
- Good luck! Blue Sonnet (talk) 03:03, 20 February 2025 (UTC)
- Okay, that's... good... but there's also stuff like this. The socking and the copyright violations are kind of a lot on top of everything else. What would you edit about, if you were unblocked? It looks to me like so far effectively all of your edits have been on non-notable topics, things like inventorying every single bus in New Jersey for some reason. Wikipedia isn't the place for that kind of thing, but there's surely some other wiki you could work on. -- asilvering (talk) 07:14, 2 March 2025 (UTC)
- (Non-administrator comment) ...aaand this is why the actual unblock assessment is done by an admin - I'm still learning about Wikipedia myself & wasn't sure how to address this part (hence the "more questions" comment).
- @Danny5784 I'm going to leave this discussion now as I've done what I can, but there are still several concerns you need to address with an admin.
- You could create or join a transport-based Wiki/Fandom project, as suggested above, if that's what you're truly passionate about? Blue Sonnet (talk) 10:45, 2 March 2025 (UTC)
- If I was unblocked, I would edit some pages that are in reality shows and edit the NJ Transit Bus Fleet page because there is an error there which 25201-25202 are not assigned to garages yet. Danny5784 (talk) 11:59, 2 March 2025 (UTC)
- I would be happy to stick with smaller edits. Danny5784 (talk) 18:52, 19 February 2025 (UTC)
- What I mean is that articles that have my user name like for example: User:Danny5784/[article name] are the ones that were disrupted. Danny5784 (talk) 11:41, 19 February 2025 (UTC)
