Supercharge your browser

There are a number of ways to improve your web browser to make it a more effective Wikipedia tool:

  • install plugins
  • install user customized JavaScripts (a simple cut/paste operation) into your user page's vector.js or monobook.js skin. Installing to your common.js subpage will allow both skins to use a single JavaScript installation.
  • add pre-saved bookmarks to your favorites
  • add bookmarklets to your favorites or to your browser's toolbar

As you can see, tools are implemented in a number of ways. There are tools available for many different purposes, and with many different functions, and some that are multipurpose. Many of these are explained at Wikipedia:Tools/Browser tools, which includes a list of tools, for each major browser.

Hi Cassiopeia,

I would like to join the Counter-Vandalism Unit, and saw that you have spots for trainees open. May I enlist to be your newest student?

Undiscussed page moves and reverting move

Hey Cassiopeia, you recently moved Jun Yong Park to Park Jun Yong twice, with no explanation (your first move, another editor's reversion, your re-revert in two steps) The editor who reverted you, understandably frustrated, opened this RM.

Your behavior here was not ideal. Your first move should have had an edit summary explaining why you performed it. It looks like none of your recent pagemoves have an edit summary (besides, occasionally, a script's default summary). You should not have reverted the other editor's reversion of your first move, as by then it was obviously potentially controversial. You should have been the one to open the RM. In my opinion, what you did was move warring and a failure to meet the conduct expectations of page movers. Maybe you had a good reason for your actions, but there's no way to know when you don't explain them.

I also strongly encourage you to perform round-robin page moves, which your revert of the revert was, via a subpage of Draft:Move, instead of an arbitrary related title like Jun Yong Park (fighter) as you did this time, for the reason given at WP:ROBIN.

I really hope you had a good reason for all this. If not, you owe Marty2Hotty an apology. And please, please use edit summaries. Toadspike [Talk] 12:00, 28 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Toadspike, I have written to Marty, Park is the last name for the subject as the subject is Korean and as just like Chinese, the surname (last name) list first then follow by given name - Korea last name is placed first before the middle name (examples South Korea president - Park Chung Hee and Park Geun-hye, South Korea K-pop stars - Park Ji-hoon, Park Jin-young and Park Hyung-sik and just like the Chinese named (examples - Chiang Kai-shek Director-General of the Kuomintang, Mao Zedong and Xi Jinping president of China). Thank you for your reply. I don't think you have understood the main issue, though. You've given a reasonable argument for performing one bold pagemove. What you have not explained is why you wheel-warred with a non-pagemover, instead of opening a move discussion, after your move was reverted. Toadspike [Talk] 19:18, 1 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Toadspike, I did discussed with the editor involved as mentioned. Regards. Cassiopeia talk 20:10, 1 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Forgive my asking – where did you discuss with them? They seemed fairly annoyed that the page was moved back [1] and I don't see any posts from you on their user talk page about this (though you have discussed many other topics before). Toadspike [Talk] 20:22, 1 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Here - Park Jun Yong.
