It requires the user to write their own text; an alternative ({{Burma-shave-notice}}) offers handy prepackaged notices, in Burma-shave form, for common situations.

Parameters
1- First line of the message.2- Second line of the message.3- Third line of the message.4- Fourth line of the message.5- Fifth line of the message.6- Sixth line of the message.layout- The layout to use, default is "vertical". Choices are "horizontal" and "vertical".
Note that parameters 1-6 also work as ordered params, so for example, {{Burma-shave|first line|second line}} is equivalent to {{Burma-shave|1=first line|2=second line}}.
