Merge proposal
I propose merging Royal Club (esports) to Royal Never Give Up. They are owned by the same parent organisation, and their League of Legends histories should not be separate as the team merely rebranded.
The League of Legends team Royal Club was rebranded as Royal Never Give Up at the end of 2016, and then a secondary team was created which retained the Royal Club name. The now secondary team is not notable enough on its own to warrant a separate article. The histories of the primary team should not be separate either. The timeline, more clearly is:
- Main team: Royal Club → Star Horn Royal Club → Royal Club → Royal Never Give Up (since 2016)
- Academy team: None → Royal Club (since 2016)
There should be one article about the larger Royal Never Give Up brand, with the Royal Club name now relegated to one of its non-notable teams, and the League of Legends team itself occupying a singular, linear section. Yue🌙 02:07, 1 March 2025 (UTC)
